Doesn't come from Japan anymore. Now made in Italy, as is Peroni Red.
Much better than any of the "Foreign Brand" labelled beers now regurgitated en-mass by so called UK breweries.

It's brewed all over the world , Canada has been brewing it the longest, even the uk has 3 sites, China has a site too.
Most beers are produced in different places to their origins.
Greenking for example brew beers from Scotland but they import tankers of water so its technically the same as the original.
It's not viable to import beer , that's why any imported beer in the uk is ridiculously expensive.
But who really cares, I suspect 99.9% in the uk who've drank Asahi have never had one from Japan

Is this better than Aldi Rheinbacher Pils which someone on here recommend. I had 4 cans last night it's only 4.5% but when I woke up this morning it felt like I'd been run over by a double decker bus not good really pretty vile stuff to be honest

Asahi is 5% so you might feel like you've been run over by a train in the morning

Never tried the Aldi Rheinbacher but I'll swerve it a on the strength of your review. Will grab th24 Asahi when up in Costco though (edited)

They reduced the ABV from 5.2 to 5% with zero annoucement, which is pretty sneaky.

Maybe its just me but I find these smaller bottles a bit too carbonated compared to the larger 620ml bottles.
