Great deal, happy with my normal RWG sims so far. The only negative was that the last sim I got took 2-3 weeks to arrive. I think EE cap at 650gb a month fair usage. There is another company called Scancom that sell preloaded sims. I have been using their Three sim for almost a year with 500gb a month which works out £6ish a month, they also do EE and O2 sims but some are pricey, but they often have flash sales. The only downside with prepaid is if they go bust you lose it all, but they have been in business over 20 years so fingers crossed lol.

Ditto here with Scancom though a deal I posted was immediately pulled and when I put it in Discussions, received a skeptical welcome. My 40GB/m Scancom SIM is backup for home and away office.

Don’t sign up to these cowboys, they still owe me money as they took out money from bank account after I had already ported my number out to a different network, this has been going on for 2 months now and still no refund.  Stay well clear of RWG otherwise you will regret it

not a big deal cancel DD and put a claim into your bank under the direct debit guarantee

The SIM I received with this RWG offer is an EE machine-to-machine Micro SIM:

EE M2M Aggregated Data SIM for UK Only

As with others above the SIM is not activated so I’ve sent them an email.

[Edit] And 20 hours later I await their reply.
[Edit 2] Never got a reply to email so I phoned and they activated the SIM immediately. (edited)

bravvvvvvvvvv i am stuffed, you are not alone. ported since Monday and my secondary sim is still not active. emailed them and they are blaming BT for handling the provision for porting. wanna cry so far. this company needs a complete restructure in every department. CS, upgraded servers, everythinggggg that got to do with sim activation. its horrendous even a 3rd world network provider can be this rubbish.
worst network i have ever delt with. for now, everyone should steer clear of this dud company. was even trying to buy a bundle, i couldnt find where to pay at checkout.

What a great deal. Thank you so much. I'll combine with my £2 MSE SIM on my dual SIM supported Nokia G45 and have unlimited everything with best London internet for the next 4 months for £6. I'll then need to find out what to do in the new year
    Burgess85's avatar
    Which £2 SIM you got?

Anyone know about roaming abroad ?
    Adam's avatar
Id like to know this too, it says on the website -

    Roaming
International roaming is automatically enabled when you receive your RWG Mobile SIM Card. All EU roaming is included on the same terms as your UK plans and prices for all of our monthly plans above £3.50 (not included on FREE, £2, £3.50 plans or 1 Yr and 2 Yr plans).
The EU is defined as the 27 countries within the European Union.
EU Roaming outside of bundles is charged at standard rates of 5p/min, 5p/SMS and 1p/MB.
Roaming outside of the EU requires a credit balance.
You do not need to change the APN settings on your phone in order to receive data services abroad.

    So not 100% clear
  7. Scott_Mulligan's avatar
Do they have fair usage on unlimited SIMs?
  8. Burgess85's avatar
    How much after December?
    jujuzeez's avatar
you decide for ursef from their plans, what u want. this deal ends dec 31st. pick whatever offer that will be available on their site going forward. not too hard to understand 🤷‍♂️ (edited)

Received mine today. As others have said it wasn't activated and have been sent the wrong type sim. An email to CS got a reply within 2 hours and sim is now activated and also offering to re-send the correct sim.
    jujuzeez's avatar
a nearby phone shop can help u trim it for free, welp a new one is being sent.
  10. yoshi's avatar
Activated at 15.30 yesterday finally after a few emails back and forward. They needed the order number as well for some reason as well as the sim number. Seems quite an archaic activation process which they don’t support well enough to be efficient.

Useless. The signal is really bad!
    steve252's avatar
Did you mean to say "really bad where I am" - ?
  13. missionary's avatar
Did you mean £5 per month? Or is there Cashback somewhere I missed? Also do you know if this is 5G and max allowed under fair use?

Good luck to RWG, whilst they are not shaking up the Market as such, they are providing a few more options to compete with the big boys
  15. Chiptivo's avatar
    The above is about right.
I will get some satisfaction as depending on their contract with their payment provider, most chargebacks have a £25 charge against the company.

I hope this site stops deals about them being posted, because for every failed activation, they will expect the customer to write it off, I guess this is how they are trying to make money.
    Shambles...
  16. Mr.Dangle's avatar
Reading between the lines this company are diabolical, who sends a SIM and you spend days trying to get it activated, customer service is non existent and rubbish, cheap for a reason they’re useless. Have I missed anything?
  17. Chiptivo's avatar
Agreed. Will give them a few more hours for a refund and then will do a chargeback via Mastercard.
They have given up replying and to be honest the replies I got didn't get anywhere. When calling, I'm on hold for 20 minutes before getting disconnected with a message.

Companies like this shouldn't be allowed to compete, I will be raising my concerns to EE via work who have a relationship with them.

If anyone is interested, I ordered a single Micro SIM for this deal.
RWG sent me two sim cards, I have no idea why, a Nano and a Micro.
When emailing them, they have only activated the Nano, which is not what I needed.
While I hunt down a suitable adaptor, it has dawned on me that their logistics may have screwed up and sent me someone else's sim card as well as my own.

I may have someone's missing order due to RWG logistics sending me two sim cards.

    Update..

So received one of these EE Machine TO Machine sims.

RWG are saying it's now activated, but I've tried the sim in multiple devices, it won't register on 4G or 5G, and tries on 3G but won't allow any data. Checked the APN settings are correct, tried different locations and different devices.

Anyone in the industry have a clue, sounds like they are not 4G/5G sims? Or EE not accepting them to register on their network?
Attempted to get hold of them three times today, got in a 20 minute queue, and then got a recorded message saying they are busy and to email before disconnecting.
Have emailed a couple of times, they are saying all is fine on the account and to send screenshots of the APN settings, whicvh match what they said to change the devices to..

    Frustrating isn't it in..
    hecatae's avatar
Same issue here, the Micro SIM they sent me does not work, 3G only and constantly informed APN is incorrect by the device but it's set to rwgmobile.com ?

what are you consuming in a month? using it for business? :/
  21. flamethrower's avatar
    What's their fair usage ?
Can you use it with a 5G router to replace a slow home broadband connection?
    Ash9694's avatar
If that’s your plan get the three business sim for £5ex vat pm 24m contract
  22. O2man's avatar
Do any of these allow you to roam in the USA?
    jujuzeez's avatar
the esim offerings by other international operators are better off
  23. DGB2's avatar
Anybody know if they get the use of all EE bands?
    iceburnmarko's avatar
No it doesn't but have 5g access
  24. Jon_Red's avatar
Would be amazing if not for the fact most people are in contracts - I’m presuming topping up at the new year is for payg rates…
    innocent's avatar
One doesn't have to carry on in the New Year. There could quite easily be excellent offers from various providers, I hope 🎅
  25. DerpMan's avatar
Do they limit speeds? EE tends to have three tiers of speeds for their plans, so wondering if this is the same?
  26. zzzz's avatar
I've read all comments but still don't know some basics -
    Is 5g included ?
    Any speed caps ?
    Any fair use catches ?
    jujuzeez's avatar
if u are stuck, send them an email or call them. that will clear your doubts. we dont work for them, any comments here wont give a detailed info.
  27. emgala86's avatar
Just ordered this, I figured I'd give it a shot as I'm on EE anyway and a one off payment for unlimited data until December is worth it. I don't have broadband so I need as much data as possible. Thanks for posting
  28. entity22's avatar
My £4.50 a month 50gb promo with TalkHome is coming to an end this month, wondering if this would make a good replacement? I've been very impressed with speed and performance from TalkHome mind you.

I can't seem to find any solid information around what EE bands RWG uses - can anyone assist?!
  29. Metalhead33's avatar
Amazing deal. Thanks OP. WIll be interesting to see what the FUP (if any) is though. :-)
  30. leonjdean's avatar
Ordered yesterday. Anyone know how long the sim will take to arrive? Could be a while looking at some of the comments.
    Chiptivo's avatar
Sometime towards the end of December

    Lol
In all seriousness , no order confirmation, no emails, no response, no dispatch.

Not a great start to a company on its journey to be a leading mobile provider in the UK is it?
Great to sell a product with a fixed term end of life, but no idea when they get dispatched.
  31. yoshi's avatar
Mine arrived this morning but it’s not working, no internet. Tried it in a couple of devices. Sent off the email to get it activated earlier. Their on hold message is bizarre, it just says please wait over and over again rapidly after a few rings, really strange.
    SoWantAnLGC1's avatar
Same here, zero data connection but I haven't tried contacting them yet based on how others have reported their experiences.
  32. Scott_Mulligan's avatar
I received my SIM this morning but it's a Vodafone SIM
    Chiptivo's avatar
What??? Thought they hung out the backend of EE?
  33. mh825's avatar
    So data for EU included?
    deleted1945554's avatar
    Yet to be determined.
  34. celalcan's avatar
I asked them for a Nano sim, they sent a full size SIM without breakable parts. I contacted them via email but didn't get a response even after 24 hours. Their phone is unreachable. What do I do now?
    innocent's avatar
I thought that (most) sims with all networks/providers come as full size with "breakable parts" which then you prize out to your requirement unless you ask otherwise specifically.
  35. Al18's avatar
Recieved mine yesterday. Nothing works, no data. Tried the APN settings etc. Also sent them an email for activation
    jujuzeez's avatar
some said u can try activate on desktop
  36. hecatae's avatar
    Mine arrived today,

Sent email to activate, anyone had a response yet?
    zsm901's avatar
I received yesterday, it was already activated as soon as I put sim in
  37. ljbutchik07's avatar
Mine came today also not working. I emailed them and had a quick response. I was told it’s a data sim only. if I need a voice SIM card they will send me one
  38. Thumbs_Up's avatar
Cancelled mine as no dispatch confirmation, portal not updated, calls not answered either.

Support Team via email also confirmed they cannot process the refund via your original payment method (Card), they'll do it via Cheque or Bank Transfer.

Good deal, but overall not worth the hassle if the CS isn't upto the mark and people receiving inactive SIMs.
    innocent's avatar
In such cases, patience is a virtue but I can understand how you feel.
  39. gowno's avatar
Just so you know, RWG uses three networks, but they don't use band 20. My mobile with an EE SIM is super fast, but when I switch to RWG, it's a total letdown – poor signal and slow speed. I'm really disappointed.
  40. Emd69's avatar
Had an old RWG SIM wanted to activate this deal but the SIM never used it before. Insert the SIM it shows Talk Home Mobile... 🤪🤪🤪
    innocent's avatar
    That is hard to believe.
