Don't know about this brand (I have a Samsung heat pump), but heat pumps are the way to go. My old condenser was about £1.50 per load and my new Samsung HP is £0.14 a load.

Also, no difference in drying time and because they don't get that hot you can dry anything in them.
    Buy a quality brand though.

I have bought a few things from ElectriQ and all of them have gone back as useless. I don’t buy anything from them anymore.

The most ridiculous was one of their dehumidifiers. I phoned up support because the readings were all over the place. The idea is that it runs until it reaches a certain humidity and then stops. It was doing this but then about 3 minutes later the humidity reading had gone from ~55 to 80+ and it would start running again for about 15 minutes and the reading was back down to ~55 so it would shut off. This just happened over and over and never ended. They told me this is a known issue - and I’m being 100% honest here - “the machines are reading the humidity of the water tank”. Which contains water so obviously close to 100% humidity. I asked if they would be replacing mine. He said there’s no point as they all do this. I asked if there was a fix planned. He said no, that’s just how they work.

Does it not keep the fan running when it turns off to measure the humidity of the air?

Q- can you place this in your boiler cupboard upstairs? We don’t have enough space in our kitchen and the only space that fits is upstairs in the boiler cupboard. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you

Should be fine. It'll use the warmer surroundings to be more efficient in theory.

I was looking into this model last week when the discount code first appeared. It looks like a rebadged Hisense to me. It's probably fine but I'm holding off in case the AEG one is available at £395 again.

I got the AEG 7000 for £292 using employee perks portal and the EXTRA5 in conjunction with the BF deal. It was a day ago so have a go

I took a punt on one of their washers 2 years ago and touch wood still going strong, bought one of these dryers on the back of that the other week, this model and no complaints so far, much cheaper than my previous vented model, with the number of times our dryer is on is loads with 4 people in the house ive worked out it pays for itself easily in year 1
All good from my perspective for £320!

2 years - your expectations are low!

I would never trust brand like this with an appliance as complex as a heat pump! We went with the AEG heat pump dryer and absolutely love the machine!

While a heat pump is admittedly more complex than a resistive dryer, it's not exactly what you'd call "complex". It's a big, spinning drum attached to a dehumidifier. And unlike with resistive dryers, if something does go wrong it doesn't burn your house down. (edited)

No reverse action 😔. Still really tempted though...

What's a reverse action do? Spin the clothes the other way so they don't get bunched?
