Just a FYI, there is also a C520W, that is currently £69.99 on Amazon; that has a Sony Starlight sensor along with WiFi antennas and higher res, for its prices it's very good value for money if you need a camera for nighttime / low WiFi spots. Still doesn't have a RJ45 port though so is WiFi only.

There was a lightning deal on those for £49.99 a month ago, so could well be another one in the next few days. (edited)

I own 3x C320WS and would rather wait for the C520WS to drop in price, £50 would do me.

Is there a way to power these using PoE? (edited)

Reasonably sure the supplied PSU has 5.5/2.5mm barrel, so POE via £2.50 passive injector/splitter:

Help I am after a night wild life camera for back garden solar powered WiFi so I can watch on my mobile could do some help deciding which one please

Loads of battery-powered cams with inclusive solar recharge panel from high-£20s fulfilled Amazon.

At time of this post Keeper shows £29.99 fulfilled Amazon for example 1080p res inc solar recharge panel with both white-light nightvision and IR nightvision - even includes a 64GB microSD card for local storage:
    keepa.com/

£39.99 for higher 2k res pan+tilt+zoom inc solar recharge panel and white-light + IR nightvision:
    keepa.com/
or if that PTZ is too cheap then Amazon will directly shift you the lesser 1080p version at a thumping £107:
    amazon.co.uk/dp/…BX/

All above include ongoing rolling free cloud storage.
Notifications and event recordings are triggered by PIR movement detection.
Not wholly convinced a garden bird would trigger PIR event recording unless v close to cam,
which means you may be juggling wifi range and subject proximity.
Access the cam remotely at any time.
No sub required unless you want silly AI tat.

Continues recording on SD or few seconds motion only?

Tapo C510W has continuous and detection options:

They really need to make these in a black casing, the only reason I haven’t swapped over from my Ring cams

Is it a free cloud storage?
    palli's avatar
No, I have a few Tapo cams and happily to use the SD card in the unit which works really well.

    Does it work with HomeKit

Does this auto move when it senses movement? Or do you move it around manually on the app? Thank you
    AndyRoyd's avatar
    Spec includes
smart motion tracking... tracks motion with high-speed rotation
and usual remote / app manual movement.

I'm looking for something similar that I can feed from an Internal socket, so need it to be 230v. Any suggestions?
    AndyRoyd's avatar
??? This outdoor-application cam is powered from mains wall socket via standard 100-240V 50/60Hz black lump wallwart adapter/transformer terminated with 3 metres lead believed standard 5.5/2.5mm(or 2.1mm) DC barrel.
No special interconnecting cabling requirement if you want to extend / chop,
other than any additional cabling should be capable of carrying 12V at 1A (so not much more than wet-string spec).

Or does your "similar" mean an internal cam?

it is the fake 2K, only 2304 × 1296 px

Ture 2K resolution is 2560 pixels horizontally and 1440 pixels vertically

You get that higher resolution with the C520WS for £70 that someone suggested earlier.

Is there any way to store the recordings in the cloud/hub/server or something like that?

Just had a hit and run situation and eufy cam didn't record the event. It has a short delay of 1-1,5 seconds which dad enough to miss the hit on parked car.

Sounds like the difference between a wired camera and a battery powered one. The wired cameras I've tried are monitoring all the time and save a clip starting a few seconds before the motion detection. They don't stop until after the motion ends.

With my battery powered Kami camera only the motion detector works in standby. Upon detecting something it fires up the camera and the clip begins a moment after detection. It then records for 6 seconds before going into standby for a while before it will monitor again for movement.

No doubt there are better wireless cameras than mine but they are all designed to use the minimum power.

    Which camera is this
  16. Rhys_Mitch's avatar
Had two of these and sent them back - when it rains they cameras keep notifying you that there is a “person”. Tried to adjust all the sensitivity setting and no better. Returned.

Does anyone know the length of the power lead coming off the c510w? Id have to place it on an outside wall then run the lead externally about 2m?
