Seems good price this. The older model 400 is £10 cheaper I see from another deal posted. I know the 451 posted here has a temperature probe but aside from that is there any difference? Very tempted by this though I really liked the white version I saw in currys of the 400 but much dearer than these. Think it was 230. Edit actually the white one is down to 169 now on sale in curry’s. Choices. (edited)

Think it is only the control panel and the probe that is different. Looked at a comparison website and they said: After comparing the Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone AF400UK and AF451UK, it’s clear that both air fryers have impressive features that make them excellent choices for anyone looking to air fry, roast, bake, or dehydrate food. However, for those who love to cook meat to perfection, the AF451UK is the clear winner. Its temperature probe feature allows for precise cooking of larger cuts of meat, ensuring they are cooked to the desired level of doneness. Additionally, the digital control panel of the AF451UK is more sensitive and easier to use than the analog control panel of the AF400UK.

My friend had a Tefal lasted 1 month past warrantee and died - they wouldn't do anything. We’ve got a Morphy Richards - 10 years old still going strong - looking its age though (like me) so will replace with a Ninja probably. Tefal not the manufacturer it used to be IMO
  5. Thislife79's avatar
What extra do you get with this compared to the AF400?
    Jarvis25's avatar
I think the difference is just the probe function

ARGH! I hate this site lol

I ordered at £179 (with £5) but not collected it yet, just reordered at £159! Will collect/return the £179 one!

You can cancel an order that’s not been collected in your account.

For those that purchased already at the higher price, contact Argos over the phone or go into the store and they'll refund the difference. Mine was through nectar points, but cash or vouchers should be doable

Go to the store with the original card used for the purchase, and the online or hand printed receipt and Argos will issue a refund of the difference under their “change of mind within 30 days” scheme. I brought mine yesterday and collected it this morning. I then saw the further reductions once I was home, I went back to the store and they refunded the difference well worth doing for a £20 refund

Probably a stupid question, but does the heat escape from the drawer if you don't have the probe in?
    LTT's avatar
I have this model and have never used the probe and everything has been fine. Maybe heat has escaped or it cooks less efficiently but I haven’t noticed.

On a related note, I tried to use the probe once and couldn’t get it working. Admittedly I probably just need to read the manual, so my fault. But it didn’t seem to be so user friendly that it was intuitive.
  14. sebs's avatar
I don't understand the difference between this and the other ninja fryer in the deal?
    prass's avatar
Difference between 451 and 400. 451 has a temperature probe

Great price. I'd bought at £179 from the other deal; they've just refunded the difference via live chat.

Picked this up from Currys for the same price, they had it at 179.99 but they will price match and refund you the difference up to 2 weeks after purchasing. So if this goes down even further, you can jump on a chat and get it price matched further.

Ordered the 400 model from Amazon yesterday for £144 with a voucher. Is this worth cancelling that order just for the temperature probe?

And this has touch screen, instead of press buttons on 400 model
  39. CraigeDavido's avatar
This looks like a good deal for the air fryer, im debating to get a bigger one, and upgrade than one i got now, 4 litre tower one, be handy to have bigger capacity one. Is this current cheapest price in Argos, any codes to get it down more.
    Alexam's avatar

Think some ppl on the comments have received codes via email to bring it down or used cashback sites to get more out of the deal hope that helps(y)
