    Last year this was a pain, as I ordered something for around £500, it never actually got dispatched but the money/voucher was taken.

    Had to find an actual phone number to get a manager (who had authorisation) to refund and give me another voucher.

    Normal (Sports Direct) staff aren't allowed to refund transactions worth several hundred pounds, and Mike Ashley seems reluctant to give customers their money back.

    I would NEVER risk £100 with one of Ashley's companies, let alone £500. If anything even remotely goes wrong you are stuffed. Would rather cough up the extra and buy from a company who has reputable customer service and could refund me in a cash if anything were to go wrong.

    Personally, I would only do this if I knew I was going to purchase items to the value of £500 in one go, otherwise I would be somewhat reluctant. But good spot OP nonetheless

    Grabbed 2 of these last Xmas Eve. Bought one this time. Hopefully there'll be something in the sale in the next week or so that I like. Kind of waiting for them to do their "Extra 20% off sale prices" which they often do.
