Love if someone could explain the uplift costs for things like IMAX screenings and if the lower limitless can be used in the higher limitless screens occasionally?

Also are the seat upgrades paid for or free under Luxe?

Allowed my Cineworld Unlimited to end and been waiting for this Odeon offer but my nearest Odeon is MK and so not a Luxe, the nearest Luxe would be Aylesbury.

    TIA

So my local is a Luxe (recliner seats in all screens, one iSense screen), so I get “forced” into Limitless Plus.

If your local is a regular screen then you can get the regular membership. Upcosts for me were £3 for iSense before Plus came in. Not sure what it was for recliners.

EDIT: Just seen your edit, my local is Aylesbury too. Hi neighbour! You’ll be pushed into a Limitless Plus, which means no upcosts at all. (edited)

Recommend using Meerkat Movies 2for1 if you don't plan on going to the cinema enough to justify an annual pass. MoneySavingExpert explains how you can get a year of 2for1 cinema tickets for about £1. I've used it a fair amount for the Leicester Square Odeon £25 recliners, so works out at £12.50 per person for a great cinema experience.

You just need to get 1 day travel insurance which will cost you no more than £2

And then you’ve got 2 for 1 meerkat movies for 1 year (edited)

Does anyone know how long this deal is running for?

Says 31st January when you click the link.

Odeon cinema experience is probably the worst compared to Cineworld and vue
    lebdeals's avatar
Odeon Luxe is the best experience possible imo, Vue & Cineworld seats/screens are generally extremely outdated

Just to confirm that you can add to your current annual membership. Ive just renewed mine. The expiry date only goes up to August 2024 but will extend every month until it expires. (May 2025).

The problem is next year won't be a lot of great movies in the pipeline up and coming because covid created a gap with production.
    jumpinoffthbed's avatar
Opposite actually, lots on hold this year because of the strike
  7. kevin.mayes's avatar
This is a great deal, last year I got the pass for a similar price.
However, before your rush out to buy it, check your local cinema ticket prices and do the math.
At Odeon and Vue in Norwich tickets for £5 a go. This means you have to go 24 times in a year before breaking even. That's once a fortnight.
I won't be renewing next year, I did manage 31 trips this year but I do wonder how many of those would have been films I wouldn't have bother to pay for.
    ashington's avatar
Once a fortnight is nothing to be honest
  8. Janesan's avatar
Can you stack it on the existing one?
    NeoDetail's avatar
Pretty sure, I did it last year
  9. fleetingmind's avatar
I assume these are linked to specific people and you can't give them to daughters to use for example.
    TheMaestro's avatar
Yes that's correct. Earlier it used to be the case that you could cheat the system by buying a ticket and then a family member/friend going, but now I've noticed that the scanning machines they use for tickets now show the Limitless photo ID to verify the ticketholder is same person who booked the ticket.
  10. bullet9t9's avatar
Im slightly confused. Do I need to purchase limitless plus if my local odeon is only luxe screens. For years I had annual subscription, but wasn’t sure now as there are two tiers. Appreciate for any help
    ajtravels's avatar
Yes it would have to be limitless plus for luxe cinemas

myLIMITLESS Plus members will still have to pay an upgrade fee for some performance types such as IMAX and some seating types such as the Royal Circle at ODEON Leicester Square, but it does include lots of great options such as LUXE, 3D AND iSENSE.
    dudedude's avatar
it's not that complicated, everything's included except:

    * the stupid 'beds' at the front of the cinema they've just introduced
    * 'imax' (£5 supplement)
    * 'dolby cinema' (£3 supplement)
    * islington Odeon
    * 'royal circle' at Leicester Square Screen 1 (sit anywhere else for £3 supplement)
    * any concert film (like the recent Taylor Swift or Beyoncé movies)

Does anyone know if I can pay for this using gift cards?
    Matt_Ba's avatar
    No
  13. sixonenine's avatar
Was about to buy 4x limitless plus for the whole family. 2A and 2C but just spotted that you need to be 18+ to join. That's £600 saved I guess but anyone any experience of trying to use one with a child? Any Odeon workers here know why? There's no age restrictions for Cineworld membership... (edited)
    Matt_Ba's avatar
In my experience using it, they don't bother checking anyway when scanning the ticket. I often use it to book for my Mum and kids when shes minding them over school holidays.
  14. Geenation's avatar
Does anyone know if ‘Laser’ screenings are included in the cheapest MyLimitless plan?
    Matt_Ba's avatar
    Yes
  15. Simbass's avatar
It says 6 months on the T&C’s online
  16. ArturoBandini's avatar
You only have to go to the cinema on a weekend like once per month to make this worth it. This will be my 3rd year in a row having the MyLimitless pass, I love it.
    Matt_Ba's avatar
Agreed. It’s the best £119 I’ll spend all year
  17. smudgemobile's avatar
Welcome to HukD's, congratulations on your 1st deal
  18. platform14's avatar
Finally the "plus" price tier comes down to a reasonable amount, though still £33 more than this time last year. With so many films delayed into 2025 following the various strikes, I'm still not sold this year.
    kinaton's avatar
Buy as gift and add when ready
  19. Kazoo's avatar
Thank you. I wait for this every year.
  20. deoiub's avatar
Before they branded it "Limitless Plus" I had the "Limitless including London's West End" but there were still films / screens in the Odeon Leicester Square that I wasn't able to book even with the 'with West End' add on?

Is that fixed with "Limitless Plus" or are there still films/screens you are unable to book as part of Limitless Plus?
    ramraideruk's avatar
Partially. You can use it West Enccjbemas. You must pay £4 extra for Dolby screens. (edited)
  21. DealKingForever's avatar
Great deal I go every week so get my moneys worth
  22. moneybanks14's avatar
    Does this include Dolby cinema?
    ajtravels's avatar
Unfortunately not. Isense is included with plus but dolby is an extra £3
  23. Simon1236's avatar
The Purchaser and the Redeemer can be the same person. Codes cannot be used in connection with an existing membership
  24. GiddyUpKramer's avatar
    Perfect, thank you.
  25. SwordOfEden's avatar
Do you still have to pay an online booking fee when buying a ticket with the limitless card?
    amarmp's avatar
For the limitless holder; zero booking fees (but sometimes ‘upgrade’ fees depending on cinema screen type)
For additional tickets; standard fees apply

Source: been a limitless member for 2ish years

Hmm. Tried to renew from monthly membership but as above doesn’t seem to work but payment went through and I’ve had a confirmation email. Suspect their system can’t handle it. I’ve enquired and see what I get back.
    MikeBris's avatar
Following this. Only monthly at the moment but would like to get this annual deal
  29. TJEG's avatar
I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for this deal - thanks for posting!
Me and the Missus’ current membership runs out in March. If you visit the cinema just once a month, you’re ‘quids in’ compared to Odeon’s standard prices.
  30. mjb152's avatar
I'm a monthly member now, would I cancel my membership and then buy this?
    m1ch777999's avatar
Someone said that it adds on to existing membership
  31. Nick747a's avatar
Can this be used immediately via app once brought, was thinking of buying tomorrow and then see a film In aft

    Yep!

    When?
  33. vb90's avatar
Hi, I'm loving this price and before I pay can someone please confirm me
    1. Can we pay with with gift card? I tried on their website but couldn't find the option, not sure if I'm not looking in the right place.
    2. Does this with meerkat movies like cineworld does? So I can take plus 1 for free on Tuesday or Wednesday?

    Great deal, thanks, op

Does anyone know how much is the upgrade cost for Dolby and/or recliner if you do the regular limitless? Or is it just a regular ticket cost?
    ajtravels's avatar
    £4 each time (edited)
  35. KG87's avatar
We bought this last year for our in-laws as a gift. Their memberships have now lapsed and we want to get it for them again - Can I buy as a gift again that allows them to apply the voucher to their existing account? Ideally they don’t want to apply it until they’re actually next going to the cinema which might still be a month or two away.
  36. Andy's avatar
Good first deal - thanks for taking time to share
  37. CloneRico's avatar
Can anyone confirm if the upgrade cost is the same to IMAX/Dolby regardless what tier you go for?
  38. Wiskaa's avatar
My current membership ends in September. Can I stack this offer onto my existing subscription?
    dealtime999's avatar
I was told by Odeon it should just add on to existing memberships but I haven't taken up the offer yet so can't confirm.
  39. Rob_Deeley's avatar
Why is there a child variant of this membership?
Can you use one to take your.kid into a movie?
  40. ella123's avatar
Does anyone know how long do we have to activate the code, I got it as a gift
