I've got an edge 40. It's been a solid device so far. Have been getting regular security updates roughly every couple of months.

Motorola have said it'll get android 14 and 15 but they are usually quite slow at rolling out new OS versions.

Battery comfortably lasts me all day, performance is good and the "Ready for" function is quite useful to allow the device to be used as an Android computer but it does still need to be done through a windows PC.

I'm tempted to try one but since having my 1st amoled phone (Samsung S7) years ago an aod is a deal breaker for me, is it still not possible to have it as standard on these as per comments ?

For £2 more you can get the Edge 40 Neo with 12GB RAM at multiple retailers including Motorola themselves.

The edge 40 is higher spec than the Neo. (edited)

I drop things a lot. This kind of phone is a big no-no for me, right? I've only had 2 phones in my life that I didn't accidentally break.

I'm also put off by the screen for the same reason. Shame, otherwise would have taken this over the g84, which I'm going for instead. (edited)

Is this better than Pixel 6a would you say?

I went to this after accidentally breaking a pixel 6a. I prefer this device but obviously nothing beats Google's updates given they make the OS.
