As cheap Samsung go, this one seems good, £20 off already, same chip (Snapdragon 680) as the redmi note 12 and Motorola G32, 25W charging is a bonus.

Decided to give this a shot despite already having the G32. Similar performance but I find the G32 doesn’t stutter as often, again it’s a stock UI versus Samsung’s UI. Speakers are in a different league with the G32, but you might not care about it. 33W charging versus 25. The display has a fair bit of ghosting; I don’t notice this on the G32, both phones of which have 90HZ. Both displays get the job done indoors but aren’t great outdoors. They can’t top 500 nits. Software support, well it’s probably fair to say the Samsung has the Moto beat. Whilst the G32 recently received the Android 13 update (probably thanks to the 680 chip), the Samsung is probably poised to get a good few more updates. The 4GB ram will hold it back though as far as the years of software support. Cameras on the Samsung are better in daylight, but in good lighting the difference isn’t significant. Low light is where both perform quite badly, but that’s as to be expected. My preference would be the G32, especially as I paid £89.99 for it, versus the extra £20 on this. But for the most support down the road the Samsung has the Moto beat.

I have a Moto g60s. At first it was brilliant but the last year it's awful, it constantly does this stuttering thing where the screen trips out and flicks everywhere. Have to push the power button to turn off screen and go back in again to stop it. Can't get any fix to work. I will be going back to Samsung. Disappointing as Motorola won't acknowledge or fix the problem. (edited)

Good price reduction find MrSwitch. Just saying, Argos Q&A states "The SIM Free Samsung A05s 4G 64GB Mobile Phone - Silver will not update to Android 14". I haven't cross checked other sources whether this is true or not. Nevertheless heat for the deal 🔥

How dose this compare to the a12 as the Mrs one is kinda sluggish and looking for a sub 200 samsung as she won't use anyone else.

I'm also interested. The price makes me think there will be a long list of sacrifices with this one.

Any reason to get this over the Motorola G32 (for a backup phone)? (edited)

Hopefully this isn't as slow and laggy as the A04S I returned to Argos a few months back.
Was stuttering and glitching on YouTube and Ticktock videos as well as being generally unresponsive.
A14 is a far better phone . (edited)

New processor should help with that, far better than the exynos in the A04S (edited)

I have no personal experience of Motorola G32 but super carefully weighed comparison of the two phones. Thanks for your input, enjoyed reading it.
