    Great deal

Looking on HiHonor website offering tablet, keyboard, flip case and X6 earbuds for £299

also Q&A suggests Honor stylus to be released in April

Still torn which tablet to get for middle child as he wants one with Stylus, tried to get him down the Fire11 route but open to any recommendations anyone has

Been pretty happy with the Pad 8 but if you need gaming capabilities or raw performance, id rather go with Xiaomi Pad 6 or the iPad 2021

    Wow that's a steal 🔥🔥🔥

The 2 low reviews on amazon suggesting the x9 which is way behind this tablet in build and speed and person moaning about lack of charger, who doesn't have a house full already
    deleted2686495's avatar
It is a bit weird - if you scroll down the item listing it does mention no charger in the box - at the same time, like the reviewer, I have seen online reviews where they mention the charger in the box.

Honor dropped the ball, there a bit - but it's still a good tablet for the price. And somehow I realised it didn't include a charger when I bought mine which didn't annoy me at all, as I never use the bundled ones anyway.

And complaining about a lack of cleaning cloth? Really?

    COMPARING -

This deal (which seems GOOD and so worthy of HEAT)

    vs

Early Bird Offer: Order the HONOR Pad 9 inbox Keyboard for only £299.99 with code 'APD950', and get the HONOR Earbuds X6 and HONOR Pad 9 Flip Cover for free. APD950

    Plus

    Possible 4.5% CASHBACK (see pic)

    Thoughts?

    No GPS. Sad.

Never high on the budget tablet manufacturer's list.

Out of curiosity, what were you planning to use GPS for on a tablet?

    Back at £250
  9. Yanto3000's avatar
Any idea if this supports a pen/ stylus?
    Mastermaster's avatar
Don't think it does from one of the reviews I saw

Pretty good tablet all in all, i got without keyboard, bugs me don't sell it separately
  10. jack201's avatar
If it's a latest gen Tablet why is it still on android 13?
    Karling's avatar
Ships with 13, but does get 14

I don't know how this tablet will age as the SD870 released in Jan 2021 beats this all round which you see in most tablets. Can't see it pushing out the smooth 120hz for much long.

How does this compare to a Samsung Tab8+. I'm guessing the answer might be 'badly'?
    Mastermaster's avatar
    Not really fair comparison

Can you add a sim card to this anyone ?

    This or Lenovo p12 12.7
    OBone's avatar
This has no finger print scanner, which is a major deal breaker for me.
Love Honor and have their phone and I had the Honor pad 8 but had to replace it with the Lenevo p12 because the pad 8 was so annoying without the FP scanner.
At night face unlock wont work (it's hit and miss in daytime anyway) which means password or pattern (unless you leave it unlocked), also for bank apps you'll need to log in every time.
There's no reason not to have a FP scanner on a tablet, no need for in screen, even cheap phones have them.
The Lenovo also has a micro SD slot if that helps you. (edited)

From what I've read these only get 1 major android release .
    deleted2686495's avatar
Yes but three years security patches which is at least a promise.

    Hdmi for a firestick?

Never seen a tablet with hdmi in?

Don't think this does hdmi out, though I haven't tried.

Or can I mirror my IPTV app to tablet?
    daleson's avatar
Can you not just download the iptv app on the tablet?

can anyone recommend a budget tablet which has/will work with a pen? I need for my daughter for her school work. ipad is too expensive (unless there is a old model someone can recommend)
    thanks
    L33kor's avatar
    What's your budget
  23. robjw_2001's avatar
Beginning to wish I hadn't bought it direct from Honor. £50 more for a case and ear buds doesn't seem worth it.
    Karling's avatar
Yeah I see your point, but...

I think it would be IF you got TCB 8.5%

    FYI:

    299.99 less VAT
    =
    239.99 x 0.085 (8.5%)
    =
    20.40 CASHBACK

    Meaning effectively you would pay:

£279.59 (Honor deal) not £249.99 (Amazon deal)

For Ipad 9 + keyboard PLUS earbuds and case cover

Tell me you went via Topcashback?

If not, don't stress, you still got a deal either way...
  24. mrjackson90's avatar
Would this be a upgrade from the tab s7?
    fazzzzzz's avatar
    Big no
  25. crookusmaximus's avatar
Even with the upgrades from pad 8, still behind the Xiaomi pad 6 which you can get for 299 currently
    HUKD69's avatar
£250 new on eBay is easily done. Got mine for £210 open box
