It should be able too given how much more powerful it is than the sticks, plus an ethernet port is nice.

I've ordered one and it's coming tomorrow, so I'll set it up and play some of the larger downloads I have (Got a few 65Gb ones) and let you know.

Is nobody else pissed at the constant bombardment of ads/self promo's on Amazon devices now? I've been slowly switching over to Chromecast/Apple TVs and changing my Alexa devices that have a screen to Google ones now. It just drives me insane that they add more and more ads every week. Even disabling them all in settings doesn't stop it.

Not to mention prime video has ads that interrupt your show or film unless you pay an additional £4 a month!

Thanks OP, finally my old fire cube was accepted as a trade in. Bought for £77.99 and should receive a further £20 voucher

This the one with AI upscale, and is it any good?.

I have tons of 1080 content on my NAS that I play with KODI.. Will it look better?

Also should I wait for the 2024 version instead?. (edited)

Do you find the 1080p content looks bad?

I nearly posted this earlier when I saw the price drop but wasn't sure it would go hot I'm very tempted by this (particularly if it goes on the Amazon Warehouse sale - though it's unlikely as the 20% off ends tonight) but it only has 10/100 Mbps ethernet instead of gigabit LAN. Why Amazon chose this spec for a streaming device, who knows.

Why Amazon went with slower Ethernet on the Fire TV Cube | Digital Trends

    This.
I've had mine since June 2022 and 4K HDR over WiFi was struggling. Tried ethernet and realised it was 100Mbps..
Plugged in a spare router with better speeds that my main, solved the problem but would still rather go wired. Thanks for the adapter suggestion, I'll give it a go.

Struggling to find a way to connect y Xbox Series S to projector + speaker due to lack of ports.

Am I right thinking I could run the Xbox into this, then this into projector, then connect this wirelessly to Amazon speaker?
