sorted byWhy Amazon went with slower Ethernet on the Fire TV Cube | Digital Trends
Google says this, though
I've had mine since June 2022 and 4K HDR over WiFi was struggling. Tried ethernet and realised it was 100Mbps..
Plugged in a spare router with better speeds that my main, solved the problem but would still rather go wired. Thanks for the adapter suggestion, I'll give it a go.
I've ordered one and it's coming tomorrow, so I'll set it up and play some of the larger downloads I have (Got a few 65Gb ones) and let you know.
I have tons of 1080 content on my NAS that I play with KODI.. Will it look better?
Also should I wait for the 2024 version instead?. (edited)
Is it about my cube? (edited)
Am I right thinking I could run the Xbox into this, then this into projector, then connect this wirelessly to Amazon speaker?
I dont really see the benefit.
faster WIFI tech..... you dont need it. even the few 4k providers that give you full fat bandwidth A/V (Disney+) dont need anything that fast.
Dolby Atmos/Dolbyvision/HDR you can get via 4k firestick too. for less than half the price.
Better than the stick I had. Kodi is playing 80Gb+ rips flawlessly now.
