I've had these for a long time and frankly, there is no set of headphones that come even remotely close to these in this price bracket. Hell Ill even say that these are probably the best headphones you can get under £100.

The sound quality is good and they have quite a bit of bass to them.
The ANC, whilst by no means as good as Bose or Sony is very serviceable and does a decent job.
    The battery lasts forever.
The only down side that I saw was the build quality, they feel rather cheap and flimsy, but did not break even after I put them through quite a bit of abuse.

I had a pair of XM4s and a pair of XM5s from Sony and whilst both of those are undeniably better both in terms of ANC and sound quality, I returned both since I had a lot of issues with both headsets (like crackling, unstable Bluetooth connections) and at the price Sony asks for them I'd expect nothing short of perfection. Also, despite them costing 5-7 times more, you by no means get 5-7 times the quality.

    The Q30s are great.
If you want slightly more premium ones from Anker you also have the Q35 and Q45 (though they have their own ups and downs compared to the Q30s) (edited)

The QCY H3 are better, newer and cheaper. (I have those and the Soundcore Q30 and Q45).

    I did a comparison quite recently hotukdeals.com/com…035

(Also mentioned the Tronsmart Apollo Q10, which I'd say were the Soundcore Q30's competitor at the time - same sound chip, and Soundcore Q45. Also used the Q20 for a while but they're not mentioned on the QCY thread). (edited)

    is this premium

Anker products are good for the money but if you want premium you need to go with Sony/Sennheiser/Bose. (edited)

    Hot from me.

Bought the Q35 last week (refurb from Ebay for £55, but they came as new). Think the only difference was the look (which I prefer), LDAC & some sensor to tell when you are wearing them), but apart from that I have heard they sound exactly the same. (edited)

Newer firmware also stops ANC working with a wired connection on the Q30 from what I understand.

I have had a pair of these for at least 2 years, and aside from replacing the ear pads they are as good as new. I also recently bought some Bose QC45s and I prefer the ANC on the Soundcore. Given the difference in price I’d say that these are better value for money than Bose, based on my personal experience.
    Bure11's avatar
There is absolutely no way the ANC on these is better than anything by Bose so don't spread that nonsense

What's the lag like when watching video / YouTube etc, is there any ? Anybody use them to watch TV via Bluetooth notice any lag ?

This guy gave a very positive review, but mentions briefly that there is about " just under half a second audio / visual lag" in certain uses at about 06.18, which puts me right off them...

    colinjordan95's avatar
I use them for TV a lot. Never had an issue. They might have patched this through a software update as that review was over 3 years ago. I highly recommend them for the price though.
  6. MyUsername's avatar
Sound quality.. amazing for the price. Build quality... awful for the price. I had these for a while and only just today replace them with the Beats Studio Pro as it today is also on a great deal. Admittedly way more expensive but I did buy the Q30's as a temp pair and was so surprised with the audio I didn't rush to upgrade. They started to fall to bits within a month and *cough* Amazon made it an even better deal for me so I was in no rush to replace them until a good deal on something else came along.

EDIT: Have a good look at the review photos to see what I mean. (edited)

Perfect summary of my experience. Sound quality was brilliant but the headband became brittle and snapped after infrequent use . As outside warranty SoundCore refused to do anything other than offer 15% off next purchase, even though lots of reviews showed pictures of the same thing happening to other customers.
I accepted the lesson but made me slightly weary of the brand
  7. rick_deckard's avatar
What's the noise cancellation like on these?
    M.Dimitrov's avatar
I would say it is pretty good you have both indoor and outdoor but for me is not a significant difference

This should be expired rather than increasing the price on the deal. It's misleading as all the heat wasn't for this price, but anybody seeing this deal now will think this is a 700+ heat price, when it isn't.

I have these. The battery lasts forever. The noise cancelling is good and if you play resident evil in the dark with indoor noise cancelling on it will totally freak you out!
    Mr.Nutts's avatar
I’m too scared to play RE as it is, never mind with immersive audio!

Hot from me, I've had these a couple of years, I think the noise cancelling is great. Greats for flights too.

Managed to get them with the earlier offer of 25% off and they have arrived today, they look brand new and I can confirm the colour is black.
Not used them yet but I'm sure for the price they will be great.
    Thanks fast_and_curious

Are these any good on the London Underground? Specifically Central & Victoria lines?

Shame it's only available in white. It's not very clear on the Amazon listing either so worth noting if you were planning to order and wanted them in black.

    Wonder if that's an error?

Spend more and get proper headphones like Sony’s.

I always comment this but I fly twice a month for work and my anker Q30's are an absolute god send.

Basically - if you have £200 then yeah sure get the Sony XM3/4/5's or Bose QC35/45's.

But if you've got a budget, these are the best 100%. I prefer these to the Q40's and the the later Anker one's as these fold much better and have a wider headband so feel more comfortable.

Was looking at these on a previous post but in the comments some one recommended QCY H3 over these which seem good to me for £25 so went with them. Although not heard a a bad review about these and a long wait for QCY’s (edited)
    louiselouise's avatar
They should come within about ten days.. Aliexpress' shipping is much better nowadays (assuming it's a Choice / Superdeals option).

QCY have just released two new colours. (edited)

Can anyone comment on these vs the Q20? I’ve absolutely no complaints with the q20s I’ve got and can’t think these would be any noticeably better but just tempted…
    reformedEffortMaker's avatar
I think the only difference is the Q20s have a micro usb charging port, and these have a usb c.

For anyone else who loves these but needs wired anc for use on planes, I’ve just got one of these and it’s brilliant.
It allows two headphones to connect so I can connect it to my iPad and two of us can watch the same film on the iPad or I can plug it into the planes wired entertainment system and use my sound core headphones in Bluetooth anc mode…

I have a one or three headsets and they are value for money at full price.
  31. gypsy's avatar
I have these. They are good value for everyday listening.

They are not god for flights because they have a hardware flaw that means noise cancelling is disabled when you connect a 3.5mm cable. Other models like the Q45 do not have this flaw.
  32. a_user's avatar
Just be sure to set these to use the Paino preset in the equalizer. Way better than the default setting.

Loved the Q30's when I first got them, but find myself using the "Soundcore Life P3" (not 'i' version) ear buds these days - they sound so good!
