    Very important to point out that this includes a Homebase 2 and not a Homebase 3. Big difference in technology wifi range and a few other things.

    Thanks. I don't think Amazon do a package of the doorbell which includes the downward facing camera & homebase 3 currently. Homebase 3 on its own is £159. amzn.eu/d/b…xZf

    I have this. It seems to think any car wheel on my driveway is a person. Up to 20 alerts a night. Very bad! Never had this with the ring doorbell.

    I am about 6 ft from my front door to the pavement and dont want to get alerts fom people walking by everytime. Does this rule this out? Am i too close to the pavement?

    Just set the doorbell to be a doorbell mate. It will then start recording events, alerting you, checking for pacakages ONLY when someone presses the bell. It's how I have mine set and the battery lasts months and months...oh, and i'm about 6ft from the pavement as well!

    Just a quick update. We've had this for a few days now and been pleased with it. It is only alerting when people come to the door (and ignoring the cat). It does also look out for packages and picked up a box of eggs in my husband's hand. Picture quality is decent for the price. No false alerts and don't seem to have missed any but time will tell.
