Am waiting on a home base 3 to come on offer to start my eufy habitat. Fed up of ring subscriptions.

In my experience: buy the camera and set up in the app (register an account). Wait a day or two and you’ll find an offer for the Homebase 3 for £105 waiting for you.

And then as long as you’re not in a hurry buy each component that you require to add to your set up as and when it goes on sale as eufy tend to rotate their offers. Hope that helps! (edited)

I have the C210 and for my needs (I don't need really high quality 4k) as it's just protecting my shed and garden office, it's perfect.

This is a steal. I would have got this in a heartbeat.
Battery on these lasts ages too, a few easy 3-4 months. On these solar ones, I imagine you may only need to charge them once possibly over the winter if we don't get enough sun. (edited)

Mine is on the front of the house so only gets the sun in the afternoon. I've been having to charge it monthly over the winter. Things have improved as the weather has - it's now hovering at 25%, hoping I won't have to charge it again over the summer...

The s230 was £90 until earlier today. It'll come back down again.

Best thing we did was replace the two ring cameras with these and the their doorbell. Haven't charged the solar ones in about 6 months and it's still on 80% with regular motion detections and high settings.

Didn't eufy have a major scandal last year where it was discovered they were lying about the camera feeds being encrypted and people were able to access the camera streams of strangers cameras through vlc?

Genuine question. Has anyone managed to add it to his automation setup? e.g if camera detect movement in the garden then switch all garden lights etc. Either using Alexa or Google?

How many times do people need to be reminded that eufy was literally spying on its customers and uploading videos to the cloud even when it wasn't supposed to be?

But that would mean somebody watching hundreds of hours of me going back and forth to my shed why would you want to watch that?

Netflix is a much better option.

You can watch thousands of webcams like mine set up in much better places if you are into that type of thing.

bought the s230 form eufy website directly at £109, hope it’s a better one compared to this s220. thanks anyway

Think that one has the LED light. I did consider that one when it was on offer at £99, but don't really need the light, and extra drain on the battery, so bought this one, which is a great price (there was only a tenner between them when I first saw them both). (edited)

Got one to add to the wired collection. It's in the sunniest part of the back garden, no vehicle distractions so should be OK. We've got it to keep an eye on our (very) big cats who like an occasional stroll in the garden. Just charging it up so we'll see how it goes.

Does anyone know, do the alerts still work even if you don't have the cloud service? It says they need the cloud.
