And halal.....wow...that's a steal....£9.50/kg the going rate at my local halal butchers.

Perhaps your supplier is buying a farm where the animal is fed better, or maybe they are just cashing in on the word, like the organic industry.
If you were to buy one these and cook it with the same method, and at the same time, as your normal one, would you expect a difference in taste? For double the price, I would. But then FF is a bulk purchaser, whereas your local butcher is a small man trying to survive.
Do you think you could tell the difference between halal and non halal meats, once cooked? I have yet to find an improvement in taste either way, no matter who waved a magic wand or killed with a different technique

Not worth it. I am sure sainsburys is selling a leg for a lot cheaper.

Sains are over 14.99, 17,18 quid when I checked.
Also nectar card needed, otherwise we'll over £30.

Bought a 2.982kg lamb leg (source Australia), Blyth Farmfoods. Works out at £5.03 per kg. (edited)

    Is it fresh or frozen?

Frozen, takes a couple of days to defrost so need to keep that in mind!

These are lovely and I buy them regularly. Always get a huge feed off them!

Does anyone know which country they are from? The half leg I bought a week ago was Irish but not sure if these are different

11.00/kg at my local butcher so less than half price but sadly no farm foods in NI

while I like FF I must point out frozen needs defrosting and it can be a pain when you just about to start marinating and you realise it is still slightly frozen

If still slightly frozen, just season/add marinade as usual, then turn the oven heat down by 10°, cover the joint with parchment (or foil) to keep it from drying out + add 1 hour to the roasting time. Slow cooked lamb is the best
