Topcash is offering £25.50 on new handset purchases. If you get the cashback then even better savings...
    Umair_Ahmad's avatar
    Just got £30 cashback

Their customer service is very bad.

This is back in stock so should be un-expired. Thanks for posting, I was gutted when JL didn't honour this price, but now I have it at £218 (-£10 student discount, -£5 Paypal promotion, -£25.50 TCB)!
    mikeysmith10's avatar
No, but I had a similar issue as someone else in the thread in that the unidays didn't properly apply. I'll contact them and hopefully get it sorted!

Are phones still locked to certain networks these days? Or would my Giffgaff SIM work in it?
Would this be an upgrade over my Xiaomi redmi note 10 pro or is there anything better for similar money. Thanks
    tonymx's avatar
Its unlocked, open to all networks. Also this can use e-sim

The battery life is horrible, I use it on a gimbal for YT videos and I wouldn't buy it again. You get less than an hour of recording out of it from 100 to dead.
    morgie's avatar
Context might be important here - were you recording at 4k when suffering with the battery life?

Great price, but just FYI the 7 series only has 2 years of updates, so will only get them until 2025, whereas the 8 series gets 7 years, up until 2030 (for only a little bit more money).

    7a Updates (at least)...
    Android Versions until May 2026
    Security Updates until May 2028

    Many thanks, just bought one!
Got update from my friend who owns 7a, there was a real issue with the battery under Android 13, but after upgrading to Android 14 issue was gone, the only downside now is slow charging (18W), up to 2h to fully charge the phone, but overall great phone with top camera.

I have change my mind - COLD - been waiting 2 days to get any update, contacted them, they do not know anything about my order, £258 gone, need to contact my bank?!
    What a joke.
    rwc17's avatar
Did you give them your order number on the chat?

    Not impressed with Voxi
    Saz07's avatar
Agreed, ordered an 8 on their last deal, DPD then delivered to my neighbour who refused it & videod them taking it back, but they marked it as delivered (DPD on the rob again) I then had to chase DPD to investigate and then Voxi (via twitter) to start a claim, who 4 weeks later after daily messaging, have said it's been returned but they can't send it back out and I have to reorder it. But deal now over. Paid via Paypal thankfully & refunded. But still no reply from Voxi. Run by imbeciles.

7a is plastic backed 7 is better
    morgie's avatar
If you feel the two backs together I don't feel the 7a immediately jumps out as inferior. Plus, most people use a case anyway.

The 7a does have some advantages over the 7, like the longer update life.

    52605733-TryVc.jpg
The 7 should in general be superior, but these two are probably closer to each other than any of the previous 'regular' vs 'a' phone have been.

7 still generally costs more too of course. This deal is a great price.

A cracking deal regardless of if the Pixel 8A is due soon at twice the price. 🔥

I gave up too. If buying is so hard, after sales service is likely to be harder!

It's not £229 but hopefully Voxi aren't John Lewis about it either .

good price. Recently discovered its astrophotography mode that kicks in if phone is super still. Does some crazy 5 minute process and what appears to be image stacking. Detail it captures is incredible.

I like how you only choose off or auto, you can't just decide to use it (edited)

    Anyone have a student code?

Also think this might apply "Get £5 off when you spend £10 or more on VOXI with PayPal - Offer applies to your first month" (edited)
    rwc17's avatar
The £5 PayPal applied and then they later added the amount back on to the charge
  25. Angel21's avatar
    No codes on student beans.
  26. FrugalFergal's avatar
How does the compare to the Pixel 6 Pro? Would it be about the same or a serious downgrade?

How would this compare to the Samsung A35, outside of camera, software updates and screen size? Is the processor better?

I've had a Note 10 for a while, which I've loved for picture quality and general usage but no 5G, other than 5G will this be any better? or what else to recommend?
  31. Maleficent's avatar
Thanks! Just bought this for my Mum to replace her aging 4a. Cracking price.

52634812-a3OPC.jpgI can't get past this bit at the checkout. This is after entering your address and whatnot. The "Continue" button doesn't do anything.
    purplehat66's avatar
I just tried it again and am getting the same results. Everything I've entered is correct, it's all green, no red. Clicking on Continue after filling out the form just doesn't do anything.
  37. asm80's avatar
    Ordered thanks, heat added.

Anyone got a simple way to cancel the sim?
