Do these cook as good as the oven?

For example say frozen hash browns, chips, chicken nuggets etc. ?

My kids would not eat it if it came out like “micro-chips” do

No, they cook that kind of food far better than a traditional oven. They come out crispy on the outside and moist in the middle rather than soggy or dried out.

I've got this one. It's not great. There is a small piece of plastic in the drawer that pushes the button that pauses the cooking when you take the drawer out and it literally crumbled and fell off so I managed to somewhat fix it but now the button is pushed it permanently so it doesn't pause cooking when you take drawer out. Plus the whole machine occasionally stops working right after start... Just when you walked out of the kitchen and sat down so you need to get up and press the start button again🤷

Just picked one up yesterday, my first air fryer (finally!) … I like it so far! Done some bits for the kids tea and yep, it cooked them quickly and they were very crisp on the outside and spot on in the middle. Despite being 4.3l it’s not a massive drawer so kind of limited .. can’t imagine what the smaller capacity ones are any good for, honestly!

This one certainly feels nice quality for the money.  (edited)

I got this air fryer from Asda for £39 at the end of last year. I use it almost daily and it great for me. I think it has been well worth the money I paid for it.

It was only £25 in very few selected stores as it was the leftover stock at the end of the promotion

Have this, paid this price, 200° is sometimes not hot enough. Very much worth the cost. Q though, do all air fryers expel so much steam?

Thanks OP. Mixed reviews, some rave others say they break. Has Which magazine or someone else reviewed the plethora of air fryers on the market, to recommend rhe best buys?
