I personally wouldn't bite at this price. Was around £270 a few months ago, and recently around £290 with voucher on EBay through EBuyer.

I've got a few NAS in my basket, just waiting for them to drop.
I have QNAP 231 currently, so might be better off with a QNAP TS-262-4G instead.

I'm afraid this is Synology, they are poor value for money when looking at the hardware alone. The upside is the software, ease of use, and the support life. My DS213j was released in 2013. It's still completely supported by the software and receiving updates and is working fine, although I've had to swap out one of the so-called 'NAS' drives it's rock-solid otherwise.

I have a Synology NAS - 212j so pretty old and the drive has started to fail. Its quite slow so looking to upgrade - any recommendations for a decent 2 Bay? I would have gone for this but don't want to overpay. I do like the Synology software.
