I have the smaller knives shown in this set (several of each). They are ridiculously sharp and I can't rate them highly enough for the price.
I have a few scars on my fingers/thumbs from slicing them open from time to time though!
Be careful they are very sharp, especially the serrated blades

3 smaller ones are around 15 quid... so 50 quid for 2 big ones? I mean they are really good knives but I don't think that's worth

    +10 postage... nah mate (edited)

Go into any catering college, speak to any younger chefs and chefs starting out and half of them will have this set of knives. This is an excellent starter set for anyone who wants decent knives at a very fair price.

If you are cutting yourself, then you don't know how to handle a knife properly.
Free course - craftsy.com/cla…ls/ - and it's better than what I was taught in culinary college.
Knives are supposed to be sharp.

Not buying any more Victorinox knives. I'll end up with no fingers left.

That's what scares me about getting something like this, just make do using a steel that does a good enough job, but not razor sharp?

Bought 5 years ago. Still sharp.

Shock shock, victorinox deal, injured fingers in comments
Can't recommend these highly enough, although they should come with a set of plasters

FYI Norman Bates mum uses one of these in Psycho 2 so it must be good. (edited)

Hey looking for a good set of knives. Never had a good knife or set. What would be peoples recommendations? This is or ninja 6 piece set? Or neither and just get one good all rounder? Any tips greatly appreciated
