My deal is up next month (900 pro) so was offered this deal £29 and i have a Voda sim deal so hopefully another £3 off. In 2 years it has never missed a beat and im happy to renew.
  2. dcx_badass's avatar
It was £29 down to £26 last week (for new/none Voda customers) and included a free amazon fire tablet.

3 months later and Im still waiting for my TCB.

I never got mine. It ruined the deal. Its a false promise

Avoid Vodafone, I signed up to this knowing it would work with 2x 3.9% RPI price increases, which worked out roughly £2-£3 a month more expensive than this deals seems, which although annoying I thought fair enough.

Then after joining they sent me an e-mail clarifying that the RPI increase is not done on your monthly price of £29, but a made up price that they have apparently discounted. They wanted to charge the 3.9% + RPI on a £58 a month price, even though your 2 year contract is for £29 a month.

That is easily gonna be a £5+ price increase within just a few months of joining and then expect another one a year later. Would probably work out significantly more expensive (>£100) than this deal seems. Cancelled my order from these scumbags who want me to commit to a contract term but can't even tell me what I'll be paying for the term.

I only ever tried to join Vodafone once before this and the call handler not only got my name wrong, got my address wrong, got the package I was ordering wrong and bought a package with these wrong details despite telling me he is not going to but needs my card details to proceed the conversation. People need to see this...

I just had a chat with them, they were convinced the increase is based on monthly plan including discounts.

Then I pointed out my contract and what its written in red , took some time for them to finally "check the details about the home broadband plans"...and they agreed the price rise will be done on the monthly plan BEFORE the discount.

    Cancelling...

These deals are annoyingly specific to if you are in a Cityfibre area. Otherwise you get Openreach pricing of £38.
    Daray's avatar
Still £3 off for existing customers though?
  6. N1Andy's avatar
Also worth noting that it is an extra £10 to get the Wifi 6e Ultra hub.......otherwise you are left with their standard wifi hub (which is a bit rubbish when you are looking at gigabit speeds).
    KyleKeighley's avatar
Better to just buy a better Router than pay the extra for 2 years, unless money is tight of course. Very easy to do.
  7. Humss's avatar
Do they allow existing customers who are out of contract to take up these offers?

We're unable to upgrade your Broadband plan online at the moment. To check if you're eligible to upgrade please choose one of the options below.

If you can get this deal and have other options of Cityfibre ISPs, choose the other ones. Seems like £30pm for 900mbit is fairly common and will be worth the extra cost to not have to deal with vodafone
  9. sss4321's avatar
yes same for me getting £38
  10. c-h-r-1-s's avatar
IT'S CURRENTLY CHEAPER TO GO DIRECT THROUGH VODAFONE. £35 PER MONTH.

OTHERWISE WAIT FOR BF DEALS AS THERE WILL PROBS BE SOME BETTER CASHBACK THEN.
  11. Dddd89's avatar
What’s the quality like vs virgin? Due for renewal next month and recently had cityfibre installed a few months back so can finally switch to someone else (edited)
    Optimus_Toaster's avatar
Quality is miles ahead with Cityfibre but if you have a choice of other ISPs, look into them as Vodafone has terrible customer service.
  12. MarzBarz's avatar
for existing customers my broadband contract was due to end next month , they managed to renew me with this plan.
    Muniszz_'s avatar
    With the cashback in-house??
  13. Killer_Klient's avatar
Does anyone know if I buy a Vodafone SIM, whether it lets me instantly make an existing customer account and place my order for the broadband? Then perhaps I may change my mind on the SIM and cancel it within 14 days?
    harry27's avatar
I believe the discount only applies till u have both products active on the account, would stop if u stopped one of services.
  14. StaceyQ's avatar
Just be aware that their standard router can't get do the full speed (910mb) over Wi-Fi.
It maxes out right next to the router at 650mb and you can only get the full speed via Ethernet.

I appreciate that this if great if you only have FTTC but not great if you're buying a 900mb connection
    bgdgeo's avatar
Can it be replaced with aftermarket router that supports 1gbps ?
  15. kappaz187's avatar
Took me over an hour on live chat but manage to re-sign on the same package I was on
Standard Full Fibre - 900 plus Anytime calls - landline and mobile for £30pm. Only got this as I ''threatened'' to cancel and they asked if they could price match to an existing offer. After April with the 3.9%+inflation cost I'm sure it will work out more than the offer price of £34pm I was on but its a lot better than being offered packages in the £50/60 region. New contract starts immediately and everything emailed through whilst I was still on the chat. Heads up for anyone in similar shoes - contract offer coming to an end/already ended

So you vote as per what is available / suits to you
Not on the merit of the deal?

I am fine with your cold vote - just wondering how we should vote.

I'm just 4 months left of my 24 month contract, Can not wait to leave!! terrible service, worst customer service and never got the Cashback from the deal I did at the time. Never again
    stiiwii's avatar
I'm the same, switched from EE 900mb to voda 900mb. Unreal difference, gutted I left EE can't wait to leave. Never got cashback or the gift card they offered last year. Received my router a month late, left me without internet after they cut off EE. The Indian customer service system is atrocious, avoid.
  20. thespiderpig's avatar
I think the cashback via TCB is for the Pro Full Fibre 900 rather than the std one, so be careful if relying on cashback
  21. Nadz's avatar
Does anyone know or think that there will be a better offer once Vodafone's black Friday deals go live? I'm up for renewal and want to know if I should take the plunge now or wait.
    dannyzz's avatar
    thinking the same..
  22. c-h-r-1-s's avatar
Been chatting to Vodafone and they said I should wait until Black Friday as they've got some excellent deals on Full Fibre this year.
    jk515's avatar
Did they say when they'll be releasing the BF deals or whether it will be on BF itself? Current voda contract runs out on 16th and would like to sort new contract out now but will patiently wait for BF in the hope there's some good deals!
  23. dannyzz's avatar
I think, Quidco has £100 cashback for Pro Full Fibre 900

    51366679-c6h5q.jpgShowing £29 for me.
  25. sumpter's avatar
As noted regularly the router is garbage, seems to dislike apple devices and Team meetings often report poor network quality.
  26. gerin's avatar
Signed up to this and got activated couple of days ago. The router is so bad and if you close the door, speed drops from 500 to 200. If you stand beside the router, max you’ll get is a 550. But if you change the router, it’s a good deal
    KyleKeighley's avatar
Should be first thing you do. The router is garbage.
  27. _Jaff's avatar
Can someone advise if Vodafone is better than Virgin Media? I never had a problem with Virgin Media but I am tempted with that deal!
    c-h-r-1-s's avatar
both have crap routers. use your own and you should be fine
  28. CyptoHippy's avatar
I have had Vodafone for a 3-4 months good service and works as it should . I also have Now Broadband at a different house, every month the payment fails and they don't offer direct debt option stay away from Now Broadband really bad support and service. Vodafone I would recommend.
  29. MarkG.G's avatar
Including a 3.9% + inflation CPI yearly it will be much more than that. My broadband went from £20 a month so £25
    Rhakio's avatar
And thats bad? I had bt for 2 years and it went from 36 to 41 and than 41-51 for 500mb. And changed yesterday to vodafone 900mb for 38£
  30. ts84's avatar
I’m on this tier of service from a previous deal.

Negatives - expect above inflation price rises during the 24m term (does not seem to be something that’s limited to Vodafone in fairness)

Positives - the service is excellent and I’ve had no issues to date in the 13months I’ve had the current service.

900mbit is likely overkill for most households - I’ll certainly drop down a tier when it comes to renewal, unless there’s a good deal.
  31. Gogo999's avatar
I'm an existing Vodafone broadband user and my contract is ending this month. Can i sign up for this deal using my wife's name and cancel the current one once the contract ends?
    fastclau's avatar
Just call them and see if they renew with this deal! If they start moaning, don't waste your time, say "goodbye and cancel my contract" and after that make a new contract in your missus' name! That's how I use to di with Virgin when was available in the area I previously lived!
  32. ashyt16turbo's avatar
    Why always 24 months?
Not committing to anything for 2 years.
    Moss.b's avatar
Should the service get worse, your stuck. Will never risk it.

Shows at £38 for me, sod that

Maybe Post Code dependent, as mine showing up at £38/month for Full Fibre 900.
  37. rawson's avatar
Yup £38 for me too! Maybe deal should be expired?

The deal will be valid, but only in CityFibre areas.
  38. c-h-r-1-s's avatar
You can get Full Fibre 900 with Vodafone for £36p/m through GoCompare until the 12th November. gocompare.com/bro…nd/

Although they're not giving Cashback as such, they are allowing you to claim a free gift - most of which Id rather avoid and wait for a TCB deal (hopefully around BF) to claim some actual Cashback.

If you're on VF for mobile, you can also save £3 per month on your broadband so that would effectively take the monthly fibre cost down to £33p/m

    51367161-racfX.jpg

    - could you modify your OP and specify that this deals is for CityFibre Only.

£38 for Open Reach or £36 via Go Compare. (edited)

Just as my VM contract notice period is in effect too. Tempted. So far, got VM down from £96 to £39. They have always had us over a barrel with speeds but City Fibre now live, we at least have some choices
    sam1970's avatar
Exactly in the same position. Gave my notice to virgin today. I have city fibre cabin just outside my house so hoping for a good service

Mine with voda is ending midnight and hope Talktalk is better @_@ at least the router
    Killer_Klient's avatar
TalkTalk are clowns, the router is a Amazon Eero which is good, but if you look around the forums you will see they have been upgrading their existing customers onto the CityFibre network and it not working, leaving their customers without internet for weeks and being clueless how to get it working.

Both me and my neighbour had this happen and the CityFibre engineers who came to install the services and troubleshoot them kept telling us each time that there are so many other customers in our town with the same problem with TalkTalk.

In the end it was so bad that I had to terminate my TalkTalk contract early, they agreed to let me do it penalty free and even gave me compensation because they couldn't get my services working and my neighbour was in the same situation.

Just as I was on hold on the phone to TalkTalk (after many days of being on the phone for several hours) a representative for Hey Broadband knocked on my door, offered me 1 Gbps for effectively £16pm for 24 months and no mid contract price rises, I literally bit his hand off.

Connected services up a couple weeks ago and TalkTalk services finally terminated today, gave them a big middle finger and off I go on my ultra cheap 1 Gbps service.

TalkTalk are on the brink of financial collapse at the moment, they are in the process of selling of parts of their company to cover their debts, it's all a bit of a mess and all their employees are genuinely clueless how to troubleshoot any issue on the CityFibre network.
