About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
They don't have as high welfare standards as Waitrose, M&S and Sainsbury's but Aldi do have some great lamb in (as long as you eat it within their specified dates of course).
Their Easter lamb leg offers go live from Monday the 25th March and likely lasts the whole 7-day week until the Sunday.
There are a few joints to chose from when looking online, so you'd need to check exactly what is available instore. Most of them are showing as being at £5.69 per kg, which is the cheapest I've seen so far for a leg of lamb. Looks like maximum purchase is 10 units FYI, but some stores may have lower limits to be fairer to local customers perhaps.
Asda and Morrisons may do another bundle offer like they did last year which may end up even cheaper, so feel free to add these to the comments as and when someone sees them pop up!
If you've got a container large enough, then consider a salt brine overnight in the fridge or at the very least a salt rub and 1hr rest at room temperature before cooking to lock in that moisture and start to break down those proteins. Corse sea salt works best IMO.
Happy Easter folks!
