The laptop itself is sensational, but don't think you'll be able to play games on it comfortably. The 3.2K resolution is way too high for the 8GB vRam in the 4060. This is a laptop for professional graphic designers, video editing, powerful computing, etc.

You can change resolution or downgrade screen:
    Display: 16" WQXGA (2560 x 1600), IPS, Anti-Glare, Non-Touch, HDR 400, 100%sRGB, 500 nits, 240Hz, Narrow Bezel, Low Blue Light

I know it currently says ships in 1 to 2 business days but are we looking at a few weeks for delivery after that?

Very tempted by this as looking for a light gaming laptop to replace my 2020 Asus G14. I travel around a lot, so need it light and apparently this is around 2kg.
Seems a great price for the specs, build quality and weight. I'm guessing the 4060 is the lower wattage though of around 105 rather that 140...

Tests show game performance improvements are negligible on the 4050&60 after 100W. It's a voltage limitation of the cards.

Makes a good work laptop - fast CPU, plenty of RAM and storage and a high resolution screen.

"Really nice build quality. A solid, nice chunk of metal, very satisfying in that respect"

It seems that Lenovo, who have been making decent in-roads in gaming laptops in past couple of years, are really making a proper push to get the Lenovo name associated with high-end PC gaming. Have you seen the new handheld? Awesome stuff. Well done Lenovo, i just hope they dont jack up their prices too much once they get the attention they deserve. (edited)

Lenovo seem to be the best bang for the buck atm. Unless you can catch an Asus deal. I refuse to buy hp. And Alienware is ugly. Why they don't use Ryzen in their slimmest form factor laptop is beyond me

I wish new modern day gaming laptops retained the 16:9 build so 15.6” or 17.3” rather than these 16” and 18” 16:10 displays.

when you screenshare or screen record on a 16:10 laptop most people who are 16:9 computers, tablets, phones etc will see a narrow view with black borders that look’s squashed. Plus for gaming that extra bit of resolution that comes 16:10 laptops add to the stress of hardware making performance worse

I'm the opposite 16:9 lacks the real estate. I'm glad all modern laptops are 16:10 now. From a productivity view, it just makes sense. I'll take a few black bars to have a decent 16:10 screen over a 16:9 one nowadays especially when doing any work on said small screen.

Bit of an upgrade on old laptops 1050ti, fhd. Won't have to connect to an external 4k monitor for my photo editing. (edited)

I couldn't get the newsletter 10% discount to work either. They keep emailing me a 10% discount code too & that doesn't work. Guess it's £1,150 then!

I would really like this if the screen had HDR support on this option and instead of a NUM pad they used the space for a decent speaker system, centred the KB and touchpad and didn't make it look so cluttered. It seems reasonable value though if it ticks your boxes.

HDR doesn't work without full array local dimming or OLED, along with 700-800nits+

Anything lower is worse than SDR.

Also it does have HDR, making your comment rather strange. It's just bad and should be turned off. (edited)

Does this screen support VRR? My student discount doesn’t apply as well but this is still a great deal ngl

supports freesync but not VRR on the laptop screen itself. It does have a HDMI 2.1 port so if you have an external display TV/Monitor with VRR support it may work that way
