**UPDATE: This is apparently working again if you add a second cheap item to the basket, such as a £1 cable (credit: @TheDodger). Note that the T&Cs do now state the code is not valid for the Quest 3 so it's highly questionable whether pre orders using the code will be honoured.**

The 10% EE code works with Meta Quest 3 pre orders, taking £48 off the 128GB model and £62 off the 512GB model. All pre orders also come with Asgard's Wrath 2. Still too pricey for me but possibly the best deal you'll get this side of Black Friday.

Do they take payment straight away?
    Fixitbob's avatar
Yes they take payment straight away, just ordered the 128gb version.
  2. Rob_Deeley's avatar
Is this going to be infinitely better than the quest 2?
    Chinese-spyware's avatar
"Double the graphics processing" according to meta, although at the current going rate for a Q2 it's also nearly double the cost.

I also wouldn't count on many games taking advantage of the additional power for quite a while as the install base for the Q2 will continue to be so much bigger and AAA standalone VR games are few and far between
  3. TheDodger's avatar
Still works if you add a cheap item. Add the code. then add the quest 3 again with the code.

    Add store.ee.co.uk/pro…543Add code

Then add Quest 3 and apply code again

£50 off after one day. The smart thing to do is wait. Black Friday is just around the corner. (edited)
    Shard's avatar
£50 off with EE, not with Meta. The Quest isn't discounted, it's anything on EE that's discounted
  5. Flying_Orange's avatar
Is it going to be better than rift 1? Worth upgrading?
    tjc2005's avatar
    Definitely
  6. tzac4's avatar
    I have a quest 2 with a bit of a library already. Also have a ps5.
Just wondering if other in the same situation would go Q3 or PSVR2?
    tomdfrost's avatar
    I have a Quest 2 and a PSVR2 and I've just ordered the Quest 3.
I currently use the Q2 more than the PSVR2, being attached by a cable really hurts the experience, especially once you're used to wireless.
I'd go for the Q3, it will bring your existing library with you.

If there are any Walkabout Mini Golf fans here, anyone know if you move devices if your history goes with you, or do you have to play all the levels again?
    be_vigilant's avatar
History goes with you now, it has cloud saves.
  8. whyhellothere's avatar
Very tempted. I used to have a Quest 1. Could someone tell me what the best games are that were launched in the Quest 2 era?
    sidesey's avatar
It depends what you like but resident evil 4 vr, walkabout mini golf are good as is in death unchained. Way too many to list. Have a look at the Meta Quest site, google what interested or check YouTube as many sources available too.

Well I've pushed the button on the big one, now to sell my Quest 2 to get a bit back!
    Thanks for the post!

About to do the same, might keep my Q2 for my son, there maybe multi players game for VR?
  10. Ironthroneking's avatar
Glad I joined EE again recently. Decided to go for the 512GB model now, £62 off makes it a no brainer
    Gorillasan's avatar
Just clarity for other people this offer is open to everyone and not just EE customers.
  11. targetbsp's avatar
    Thanks! Gone for the 512.
  12. whyhellothere's avatar
Same, seems the deal is gone "Voucher code can not be used on the current order."

Good luck to those that orders, hope they dont cancel existing ones!
  13. EDEN188's avatar
Thanks op. Looking at the 512gb so this is very handy. I believe the 512gb comes with 6 months of Meta subscription as well.
    AlexNevin's avatar
It does. I'm debating to upgrade my quest 2 now or hold off until Black Friday...
  14. Fixitbob's avatar
Thanks OP, just ordered the 128gb version.
  15. Shard's avatar
I was just about to order this on Amazon when I saw this. Ordered, thanks!
    Ironthroneking's avatar
I preordered last night and have cancelled this morning. So pleased I decided to do a HUKD hunt haha
  16. MJonker's avatar
Was going to hold out for a discount, only waited one day, many thanks!
    onezeon's avatar
Has your order got "security checks" on it too??
  17. Beat_Takashi's avatar
wasnt on my radar but..... brought, thanks OP Spicy
  18. grouch666's avatar
Gone for the 128GB. I have 1Gig internet so it will be quick to uninstall and download games.
    Calaisjar's avatar
Umm just noticed the original Asgard's Wrath, a shorter game, was 121GB.

Let's hope they've thought this through!
  19. Mark_Hickman's avatar
Voucher cant be used on quest 3 😔 looks like theyve stopped it (edited)
  20. OnetimePadwah's avatar
Yup code not valid for this item - game over

Ah well - hope they honour those that got in there before they blocked it.
    Beat_Takashi's avatar
good find op. Hope so, no cancellation emails just yet. Was gunning for a 2nd hand pico 4 off ebay (currently going for 200-210) but i guess the longer term support and experience from the old oculus lot is better in the long run longevity wise.
  22. BrianButterfield's avatar
Looking at the specs, it's not worth upgrading to and only 128GB :/ I couldn't see anything about Micro SD either, so I'll guess they didn't add that making the real price £620. It also means developers still cannot make larger asset games due to that small install restriction.

At this point I'm just going to hold out for Deckard.
    tjc2005's avatar
    Buy the 512gb?
  23. EDEN188's avatar
I think a little 1.28% on Quidco as well. Every pennies count 😁😁
    MoizQureshi's avatar
Unsure if you can stack these? Do you know pls
  24. onezeon's avatar
How are EE with launch day delivery???

    Says "free 1-3 Day delivery"
  25. onezeon's avatar
51078501-L1mcD.jpgWhen you click on your orders does everyone's say same thing about security checks!? :/
    idbirch's avatar
Probably going to get cancelled, code not working now when you try to use it on a Quest 3.
  26. Matt538's avatar
Will the quest 2 library upgrade to quest 3 version of games? For example Meta is demoing Red Matter 2. Would we have to buy a DLC?
    Azwipe's avatar
You don't need to buy anything for the foveated rendered version on Q Pro, will be the same for Q3.
  27. Dario72's avatar
cant apply voucher code , I have check Chrome and Edge ;-((
Fixed , used chrome on my mobile phone (edited)
    targetbsp's avatar
I use a Chrome based browser called Brave that has ad and popup blockers built in and it was preventing the voucher from working. I had to disable it on that site for the voucher to work. So if you have any extensions like that - try disabling them.
  28. Calaisjar's avatar
Xbox Game Pass coming in December!! Don't need to buy an xbox now...
    imdurc's avatar
That's cloud play, though. It has its moments, but the breakup of images can be a real pain.
  29. idbirch's avatar
I just get "Voucher code can not be used on the current order.". If I remove the Quest and add something else, like an Xbox, the code is accepted. Tried on multuple desktop and mobile browsers. I assume they don't want to take a bath on this?
    EDEN188's avatar
    Same here
  30. fatterdude's avatar
yea, i have same issue "voucher code cannot be used on the current order". tried from chrome, edge and mobile, desktop.
    idbirch's avatar
I suspect they didn't intend for anyone to use the voucher on Quest 3, likely they will cancel all the orders where people managed to use it.
  31. bip50's avatar
seems like I am too late for it, will have to wait for another deal then
I have to say that their terms did not say it cannot be used for certain products or price range etc so quite unfair that they just stop us using it for the Quest 3 (edited)
  32. Calaisjar's avatar
If they cancel, I'll be furious. Took me 20 minutes to get it to work with their shoddy website.
    idbirch's avatar
With a two-bit retailer such as this, you can bet they will cancel existing orders where the voucher was used.
  33. bip50's avatar
I have a feeling it wasn't there before
  34. Ryan_ThompsonBQ4's avatar
I am hoping this will stay in stock until 1st October. I’ve maxed out my cashback allowance from complete savings for this month. So need to wait until next month
  35. babyboya187's avatar
It will not let me use the voucher i recceved , can anybody please advise ? Thank you
    64bit_Dan's avatar
They've blocked it now and added to the Terms and Conditions the codes can't be used on a Quest 3 headset
  36. MoizQureshi's avatar
Yep they reacted pretty quick to this one. Check out term 11 on store.ee.co.UK/gaming#terms

    Sad times eh
  37. Calaisjar's avatar
On the other hand, you cannot change ts and cs respectively as otherwise what's the point of having them at all?

This was NOT a pricing error/accidental misprice. I feel like we have a case...
    Beat_Takashi's avatar
not sure if you can find a older version of the page here archive.org/web/
  38. jungleboy123's avatar
Just bought a pico 4. If new prices are around £400 i'll wait till it drops to £300ish then bite.
    Azwipe's avatar
send it back, the Q3 is far better value.
  39. Flying_Orange's avatar
    Code has stopped working
  40. Calaisjar's avatar
Can we galvanise on here to all complain if they cancel? I repeat we adhered to all the terms and it's not the case that this was a misprice.

Citizens Advice says: "They’ll only be able to cancel it if it was a genuine and honest mistake on their part that you should’ve noticed"
    Azwipe's avatar
Citizens Advice needs to take some lessons on consumer law then
