A Volkswagen Service Plan removes the complexity and uncertainty of looking after your car. It’s our way of giving you one less thing to worry about.
Whether we’re sending you diagnostic videos or bundling Roadside Assistance so you know you’re looked after if things go wrong. It gives you peace of mind when, after all, there are plenty of other things to worry about.
Cars under 1 year old
For cars under 1 year old that haven’t yet had their first service.
A Volkswagen Service Plan covers the first two consecutive services with an option to pay upfront or make monthly payments.
If your car is under 1 year old and you want to have all your general maintenance work and tyre cover included as well, consider a Fixed Cost Maintenance plan.
Cars over 1 year old
For cars that are over 1 year old or have received their first service.
This Volkswagen Service Plan provides you the next two consecutive scheduled services your car will need for a fixed price.
We can tailor your payment plan to fit around you so you can choose between one upfront payment or monthly payment option.
Price fr-fr-freeze with 25% off All-in from Volkswagen
All-in from Volkswagen is exclusively for cars aged between 3 and 6 years old with fewer than 100,000 miles on the clock. For just £26.25 per month (normally £35), you can get up to 2 years Warranty, 2 years of Roadside Assistance, 2 services, and 2 MOTs. On average, All-in saves Volkswagen drivers£1248.70 (normally £1,038.70) over its two-year duration.
I started off only taking my VW to a VW garage to get serviced, then I decided to take it to a local garage as it was cheaper, now I just buy the parts online and service it myself. I purchased an oil pump from Lidl for about £15, a spanner for the oil filter for about £7, now I can do a full service (oil change with engine flush, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter and pollen filter) for about £45 and it only takes about hour to do. Not sure how much that would be at a VW garage but I think it saves a lot if you can learn to service your own car. (edited)

What oil are you using, Crisp 'n Dry?
You should be spending in the region of £40 just for oil.
Also, it sounds like you are only concentrating on the engine bay - don't forget brakes/steering/suspension etc., all need at least a good inspection, and cleaning, adjustment etc. (edited)

Very nice! I have a CS40. You really don't see many 45's around. Must drive amazingly Is the infotainment system better after all the updates?

Thanks for sharing - noted it runs until the end of the month and my current plan doesn't expire until the first week of December - anyone have any prior experience on if they will let me extend?
Bianca_Cristiana
You can ring up and say you wish to settle your current plan, pay the remaining from your old plan, it takes a few days for the system to update and then purchase the new one

I may get downvoted for this, but I REALLY distrust dealership services. I understand that it's worth it for preserving resale value of a car for the first few years of a cars life, but I've had nothing but bad experiences. For example, in the space of 4 years:
Overpricing work (4 new tyres were priced at over £250 more than my local tyre fitters via black circles for identical tyres), Timing belts / Drive belt replacements at a 30% premium ect Claiming to have done work and not (brake fluid replacement as a paid extra on top of the plan, which was not done and verified by other garages due to water content of the fluid) Investigation on a water leak on rear windows within a warranty period which they claimed didn't exist. (all they had to do was leave the car in the rain overnight, it's that simple) after already having an argument in regards to if it was in warranty (car was less than 2 years old)
My experience is to find a local garage with good reviews and which specialises in the make. There's plenty out there
bigbadwolves
You dont have to buy tyres from them though. Its just the service.

I recently bought a Service Plan for my Audi on Sunday (29th Oct), as it was 5 years and 11 months old at the time Then they started the 25% off promotion just yesterday (31/10) Called them up, and asked if it would be possible to apply your discount to my service plan - but they told me I would need to cancel my current plan, wait 10 days, and then sign up again Thing is.. starting today, my car just turned 6 years old, so I don't think I fall under the threshold for the All-In for Audi service plans any more (edited)

That's unbelievable. Usually you know most of the money is just for the stamp but at least you get an oil and filter change. To not even do that...!

People seem to be missing the point it has the Warranty, that's the most appealing thing for me here - but I didn't go ahead and take it.
PS. It's because my Passat is DSG .... fingers crossed I don't regret my decision. (edited)

Agreed! £630 for 2 years servicing, 2 mots and two years extended warranty for my 2019 Golf GTI is a no brainer.... just buying the vw extended warranty would cost more than that on its own!

Vw servicing costs are ridiculous anyway
DistortedVision
Most main dealer servicing costs are ridiculous these days. Unfortunately, a lot of independent garages aren't that far behind.

When I first bought my Leon in 2020 (17) plate I ordered the service plan on the Black Friday deal as I wanted to try and keep up the dealer servicing. It was £359.76. I've previously done my own maintenance on previous cars but I've had enough of crawling under cars in the rain.
The next time it rolled around I booked a one-off service as the service plans had gone up.
This year they've gone up again and the same plan on Black Friday is £486 an extra £127 or £42 a year! They've also started making some sneaky changes to the plans and the rest of their servicing as well.
You used to get 5 years warranty on the Cambelt service now it's only 2. The cambelt used to be around £499 now it's well over £800!? They also started offering only two options for my car which were an interim service and an interim with supplementary scope. This means you had to add the air/pollen filters and spark plugs on as extras. The spark plugs alone they are charging are over £100 for a 4cyl and used to be included in the service plan along with everything else.
They used to offer free collection and return within 5 miles which was great when working from home. Then they started charging £10 for the service which was fine for the convenience. Now they won't even offer it as I'm not close enough despite moving another half mile closer to the dealership? So now I have to take time off work drive the car down and get taxis to and from the dealer.
I did manage a small win recently where there was a pricing error on the website and I managed to book a Cambelt service at a main dealer along with a brake fluid change for £267. I did have to go through some intensive questioning at the dealer with them saying they were making a loss on it and how did I do it etc. But since someone in their service department had approved the work prior to the day they had to honor it. They did take all week to do the service so I played my face on day 2 and got a courtesy car for the duration. I suspect they weren't happy about losing x amount of money and having to do the work for free.
I doubt I'll be taking it to Seat next year for its annual service and will try one of the local VW/Seat specialists instead. To note I've always been happy with the work they've carried out and their video inspections are useful at knowing what's on the way out so I can get it sorted before the MOT but the prices and hidden charges have been creeping up for years and it no longer makes financial sense.
iEimis
Yeah such a vast cambelt change price increase is a mystery for me as well. I have an 18 plate Seat Leon FR 1.4L and I am glad mine was done in March, I paid £529 with 5-year warranty so don't have to worry about it until at least 2028. Why it has gone up by quite literally £300 in this time frame and only has 2 year warranty now is highly questionable. The previous price was actually very competitive with independent places and obviously 5-year warranty was something to take into account as well.

Unless i'm missing something, If you have a VW that has finished the standard 3 year warranty, just coming up to 6 years old... you could get a 2 year all-in-service plan that gives you the AA, Warranty, MOT's & 2 services (reactivating warranty until it's almost 8 years old)! (edited)
shkapars
I think it applies to all VAG cars as long as you car is under 6 years old and less then 100k, as I've taken out same plan for my superb.

I have two vws always use and independent VW specialist. No longer get that feeling of dread I will get ripped off at the main dealer, no one trying to flog me something either and pricing is cheaper.
SussexSaver
My VW dealer was always trying it on. Advice like “you need new brake pads all round, they’re 70% worn” when an independent garage confirmed they were still good for several months more. Failing to mention, at the same inspection, that the bearings were completely shot on one wheel which could have caused a big accident. For any work they carry out, the labour costs are outrageous. Always go local now the warranty has expired unless it’s something really technical only VW can deal with.
jas_rajpal
Absolutely. They really are stealers. Quoted me over £3k worth of essential work. Went to a VW specialist and most of the "faults" VW found were fine. Only said the cambelt needs doing. The All In Plan is great value, but do not get any additional work done from them the robbing bas**rds.
philireland1
Honestly people u should do it yourself, loads of youtube videos, and if your worried about getting under your car to empty the oil there's a handy oil pump for about £12 that goes on ur battery and the tube goes do the dip stick to suck it out. The rest is easy.

Got it last time when it's on offer, great deal if you have a car that is under 6 year old, otherwise they will rip you off for small job that they do.
Friankie_L
nah my Leon is 10 years old and went in under this service plan twice already, didn’t mention anything extra, they just did what’s booked and sent me off. first time in Seat Kirkcaldy in scotland and second time in Woking, Surrey. if you get ripped then might be your local dealer got a desperate manager.
iEimis
I've only had a positive experience with the dealers so far (used 2 different national franchises). Had a regular service plan for the last 2 years as the car came with seat approved warranty and 2 years of breakdown cover anyway so didn't feel the need to go all-in. Now the warranty is coming to an end in mid-November so it is good timing. Need to call them to settle the remainder on the service plan and will most likely go with all-in. As someone mentioned, sadly independent places and specialists now easily cost between £180 - £200 for a Leon. A regular service plan would, therefore, actually be cheaper and you can spread the cost over 2 years.
bbeettaa
I have a 67 plate Passat estate, purchased 2021 - So just came to the end of 2 year used warranty.
At the time in June i sided against it as its never really a full service with these plans. I said i can better service for same or cheaper.
However...its always not having an extenses warranty that worries me.
At this price..not so sure the above is true.

SKODA are doing the same 25% off, just checked. Not sure if it's any use to me as my nearly new skoda automatic was bought from an independent dealer in July with 12 months MOT and low mileage, is it worth taking this up, do you think?
I think its worth it for 2 years extra warranty, 2 x mot and 2 x servicing

Anyone worried about timing belts on petrol engines - from June this year VW extended replacement to 15 years or 140k miles. So realistically you don't need to worry about it And with All-in-one plan you have the extended warranty if things don't go to the plan
