VA panel excellent contrast when viewing straight on, but poor viewing at angles. So bear this in mind.

Looks the same straight on or from the side?

This tv will be brilliant….I bought the exact same 📺 tv from Currys back in April 2022….the only difference is mine is the 2021 model with a 75 inch screen. Apart from the screen size the other specs are exactly the same, and I got a great price as I only paid £720 with a 5 year warranty and originally it was over £1000 when it first came out. I’ve had absolutely no problems with this tv and the picture is brilliant even on free view channels even though someone on here stated it would be rubbish……(cheeky) …..So this is definitely a good deal for the price….Well done op….(popcorn) (edited)

What is it like if you are not watching it square on.... for us the tv and couch are on joining walls so you kind of view it from the side at approx 90 degrees and about 2-3 meters away....

    2022 model

    8bit VA panel
    Direct LED
NO local dimming. Has AI brightness control instead.

Bought this earlier today as my local Argos had it in stock.
Will check back once I have used it a couple of days.
Argos wanted £109 for another years warranty so have stuck
    with the initial one year.

    Thank You to OP.

How's it looking, ? Just watching the tennis on my 55" Panasonic wherein most of the backlights dropped off the moment the five year warranty expired & pining for a TV I can actually enjoy watching!

Voted hot, this is a good price for a good brand. Bear in mind, as this is big, the image on lots of Freeview channels will be rubbish.

This often makes me wonder, if a lot of channels are still not broadcast in HD, the TVs potential goes to waste abit.

Will more freeview channels be broadcast in hd in the future?

Frustratingly pretty much anything sub 600 regardless of price or how respected the brand it appears to be limited to 50\60hz refresh rate. Considering most newer TV's will be 4k these days, to find that there are so many 4k TV's that still have 60hz refresh rate means watching anything fast moving in 4k makes trying to watch such fast moving footage pointless in higher resolutions as with that refresh rate you will surely get a lot of morion blur?.

I have a 2019 what would have been a near mid range Hisense 4k tv and thats only 60hz refresh to, watching anything fast moving in 4k can be so annoying to the point I'm left feeling it would be better just buying a better full hd tv until all 4k TV's are at least 100hz refresh for better motion.
    Cremoso99's avatar
The old CRTs were best for motion, no blur, no judder, but how big would the back be on a 60" CRT?

1 year warranty with Argos or LG?
    Michael_Shoreson's avatar
I got the tv to day and registered with lg but these no reason you couldn’t take your Argos receipt in and deal with them

Heat. Can't believe how cheap this is for a 60 inch 4K TV from LG.

Wish more manufacturers would do 60” TVs

I'd argue this is not future-proof enough to be worth it, unless you desperately need a TV and you can't pay more. It's not even 10bit HDR.
    moonshinestone's avatar
Nothing technology wise is future proof these days

Get this or wait for the £150 Amazon TV lottery.......

The singular stand is a big advantage.

But don’t expect this TV to be any more than a budget TV, despite holding the LG logo.

    Great price though.
    voteHot's avatar
This right here. I don't understand why there isn't more variety of singular stand tvs.

We have the 2019 version of this and the yellow phosphorus on the LEDs burnt out after only 3 years so we now have a blue screen. If they've fixed this problem then this is a decent buy. Software is slow and a bit jerky for sport. VA panel so good contrast if viewed head on, not so good if watching from the side.

This is the 2022 model, 3 years is a lot of time in tech

I mean you can grumble at the price…BUT this is going to be a rubbish picture at 60inch
  24. RazvanNeacsu's avatar
£50 cheaper in the summer when the price was £449 plus a £100 voucher which is £349 less than £399 now. But yeah it is a great tv
  25. COMARANTZ's avatar
Would expect at least a 2 year warranty on a long established brand.
