As Microsoft have recently changed the conversion rate to 3:2 for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, here is the cheapest way that you’ll be able to convert 3 years of Xbox Game Pass Core (Previously Xbox Live Gold) to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (24 Months + 2 additional weeks)





METHOD

1) Go here* and purchase 3x Xbox Live Gold 12 Month (Turkey) codes.
2) If your on a Laptop, download URBANVPN, it’s free and fast, connect to Turkey. If your on mobile, use Windscribe, it’s also fast & free.
3) Once connected to Turkey, visit microsoft.com/redeem*, and sign in if prompted, then redeem the codes you purchased.
4) Now, you can either use the £1 Xbox Game Pass for 14 days to convert your Xbox Game Pass Core subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, bringing the total to £75.97, or use this deal* to convert your Xbox Game Pass Core subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, bringing the total to £77.96.
5) Once you’ve done this, you will have successfully added 24 months + 2 weeks of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate into your account, this saves you £157.53.

    It never states in these posts that you CAN'T have a current running subscription for this to work, you have to be completely sub-free.

    I think it's an important fact to state in the OP, otherwise this is not going to work for the ones that don't know this.

    You only need the VPN to redeem the codes etc.. right? Once it has been applied to your account you don't need to use VPN?

    It was never a loop hole. If it was a loop hole MS would never have changed the ratio of 1:1 to 3:2, they would of completely stopped it. Even in the FAQs it states what the conversion was for people going from Gold to Ultimate.

    It's a bit crazy how ms have changed this.
    So with an active subscription, you get 4 month from 12months gold, yet you get 50 days (maybe 52) from 3 months gold which works out about 7 months if you buy 4 x 3 months.

    Thanks, I intended to bump up my sons subscription to the max before there is another price hike and couldn't get a clear idea of what gold would convert to on an active subscription these days. Looks like in the long run it might be better just to let it run out and look for monthly deals.

    Glad this still works - I thought Microsoft put a restriction of 13 months on game pass subscriptions in Turkey to stop people doing this

    Tried this last week and was only able to add one year. If I try to add any more I get the error saying 13 months is the limit.

    you can’t have an active Xbox game pass ultimate subscription, if you didn’t however and bought a year of Xbox live gold, it would become 8 months of Xbox game pass ultimate

    Can I buy them today, and redeem the codes later? Let's say I purchase them on the 7th using the turkey vpn, but my ultimate subscription is still active and expires on the 9th. If I wanna use the codes on the 10th is that okay?

    Probably because you’ve had a trial before and weren’t eligible, happened to me a year ago - got 3 years added from Argentina back then.

    Bought the three codes, redeemed the first no bother (On an account with no active sub) now when I try to redeem the second it's telling me I've reached the limit on how far I can extend it.

    I am in exactly the same boat. Although mine runs out this week. You should be able to repeat the same procedure no need to create a new account. I am going to use rewards points to do mine, bit of a faff but free at the end of the day

    I bought 3 months of ultimate game pass on eBay and when I got them they were 3 x 1 month codes. I have one left so I assume once my current game pass expires at the end of the month I will be able to use the 1 month ultimate code I already have instead of the £1 or £2.99 options mentioned above.     PS are stingy at giving good deals for PS+. Best option is to pick up discounted PS gift cards from CDkeys or elsewhere. Then either buy PS+ straightaway (which will typically give ~13% discount) or cross your fingers and wait until they do a flash deal for PS+ subscriptions and use your credit for that. They did one for black friday I think but only for people who weren't already subscribed!

    Presumably it resets your "Member since yyyy" stat?

    I recall one time a long time ago when Microsoft sent free gifts like the Seagate hard drive to the longest serving members (something like over 10yrs).
