    Serious question 😁
I'm not much of a cyclist if I'm honest.
But why the small cog for the chain?
Obviously not for use on the road?

It's geared low for off-road use and of course this also means simple up/down gear changes which is ideal for off-road as well as urban roads. You'd have to be peddling like a nutter to keep up with a road bike on the road though except when going down steep hills.

has kindly shared a photo of the actual bike - he swapped the original pedals & suspension forks with better ones he already had, but the rest of the bike is pretty much how it looks...

    Help please
    Can I convert to electric

It looks good for a mid-drive conversion, the bottom bracket area in that photo above seems to have good clearance despite coming with a 32T chainring and it ships with 36 spoke wheels with double wall rims which seem strong. The rear dropouts don't look bad for a rear hub motor conversion but I wouldn't fit a front hub motor unless very low power like a Swytch kit. There is no information about the spec of the frame except aluminium so presume mechanically formed rather than hydro-formed and no tube butting or even heat treatment mentioned so could be a heavier frame with more material to compensate for being weaker in other areas. Lots of big brands use mechanically formed frames for their entry level models so nothing out of the ordinary. Mechanically formed frames have more material to compensate for the extra fatigue caused by mechanical forming over hydro-forming. I'd say a pretty good bike to convert to mid-drive motor.

    Great value for money.

Another great value mountain bike compromised with crappy but usable suspension fork. Tyres look big and quite close to the seat tube I reckon they could be 2.4 or even 2.6 size. (edited)

True, but who would seriously buy a bike of this calibre for even semi-serious mountain biking? Some may have tried no doubt

Looks a great deal. I've ordered as a cheap bike I won't be as fussed about leaving on my bike rack when out. Got some bits knocking around in my garage from upgrading my full sus e bike so will upgrade forks, make tubeless, probably change that cassette then hopefully will be a decent bike for family bike rides. Yes, works for me at checkout.

What's the difference in this and the £100? Is it purely the suspension and is it any good/worth double the price? Assuming it's also a lot heavier and more maintenance? Is the gears, brakes, wheels and frame similar to the £100 one?

Did Schwinn license their name to be used by another entity in the UK because having a look at their US website the models are completely different and appear to be much higher quality.
