I have the Yoga Pro 7 14 (i.e. without the X), got it in November 2023 for £630. Seems to have near identical specs to this except mine has the Ryzen 7 7735HS, 16GB DDR5 6400MHz RAM (instead of 32GB), and it has the 6GB 3050 rather than the 4GB version in this one.
Very nice all-rounder. Solid build, nice and slim, more than enough power for my needs, nice looking screen (can't expect a 4K 165Hz OLED panel at this price!), decent battery life (6-8h at ~60% brightness mixed browsing/emails/YouTube/Office stuff), very nice keyboard with enough travel to feel satisfying but reasonably quiet when typing, big responsive touchpad.
Sure, the 3050 is relatively feeble, but you can play older games and esports titles at native resolution and get very playable framerates. You can even play newer games with DLSS/FSR e.g. in Resident Evil 2 Remake at native 3K resolution and FSR set to quality I get easily 80-100fps, and with FSR set to balanced you can nudge it over 100fps. Looks fantastic. The fans do scream though under that heavy load! For the most part though, during normal loads, it's a very quiet machine.
I do have some minor nitpicks that would apply to this model. The keyboard backlight LEDs are very shallow and clearly visible under the keys, so that if you have it on your lap at a slight angle then they beam out at you which is a bit distracting. There is no fingerprint reader, only biometric is a face unlock via Windows Hello which can be hit or miss. No idea why they didn't just include a fingerprint reader, surely they only cost pennies and allow for more options. I wish there was an extra USB-C port on the right side, or at least one moved from the left to the right, just to allow plugging in from either side. Also, a touchscreen would have been a nice bonus.
Very little to criticise for the price I paid, though that was a lot less than this one!
