I bought the railcard, but cant find it anywhere in my account, does anyone have experience with trip.com

It's not the best displayed - makes it a pain having to find your Railcard (I got one before this deal)

On the app at least, you can click on Trains from the home page, then My Railcards

Or you can go via your past purchases

My Trips, All Bookings, scroll to Railcard, then View My Railcard

Looks like you can't access your railcard on this app without internet, which seems like a problem on various trainstations
    duke's avatar
    Take a screen shot

After the rush hour, most trains run almost empty.
Instead of useless schemes, they should encourage people to travel off peak to boost usage and health issues
    Ukmandude's avatar
Yeah. I had a 16-18 railcard. Then an 18-25 card. Then a 25-30 card. Now a network railcard. Why in god’s name don’t they just… reduce their fares
  5. Mashhhh's avatar
Only annoying thing with this is you need to purchase train tickets for it to activate (their tickets are generally more expensive than trainline...)
    Chaoscontrol's avatar
Do you really? I just purchased it and it shows in the app just fine, didn't get any train ticket myself. I already had an account though. Maybe I did buy something in the past and that counts? (edited)

It's a busy app, so a bit of practice needed to be ready to find the Railcard when the ticket inspector is approaching!

They may not accept a screen-shot (which is an easier option). Not sure if the QR code is checked, but the National Rail logo color changes on the electronic Railcard - it will not change on the screen-shot.

Never had a problem using a screenshot, done it frequently. You can't always rely on WiFi signal, so screenshot is a safe bet.

Can senior railcard be connect with your Oyster card for TFL?
    chris3912's avatar
Think it has to be done at an Underground station when I did it for my mum.

No 3 year deals for two together railcards or 26-30 years. Nice to see this Tory government screwing over decent hard working people! They could easily subsidise all rail tickets if they wanted to....so everybody could benefit from cheaper prices!
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
They could, but we'd all be paying for it through our taxes.
There's no free money tree to pay for everything on everyone's wishlist.

Rail travel seems like a luxury to me, I live in the Midlands and travelling to London is just cheaper driving there...
    steveblackman's avatar
You're not wrong there. Especially if you're a family of 4.
  10. kamron9's avatar
Anyway to add this railcard to trainline or railcard app? The Trip.com app is awful to use
    JJMPSP's avatar
You don’t need to. A railcard is a railcard.
  11. duke's avatar
Purchased and opened mine without having to buy a train ticket.
    frieqs's avatar
    Same (Network Railcard)
  12. OhLookTheDeal's avatar
Just a warning. Have to use the app and has to have a ticket purchased through trip to activate
    snoopygreen's avatar
Same here. I bought a ticket £17.40 but cant see any discount applied, meant to be 1/3? Any advice please?
  13. mkohagan's avatar
Can you 'stack' on the end of a currently valid railcard? If that makes sense (edited)
    Swidc's avatar
No, it starts from the day your purchase it.
I've bought 20£ Railcards in the past with like 1 or 2 months left on my current Railcard just in case there was no offers at the time of renewal
  14. 5hadow's avatar
I am trying to do this on the website and it's not accepting any photo of mine. I even tried to click a couple with my phone and even those failed to upload. Is anyone else having the same issue?
    Melek's avatar
Brave same problem. Chrome all ok
  15. Melek's avatar
Can I use this card with trainline ticket?
    JJMPSP's avatar
    Yes
  16. MikeWard1701's avatar
Disabled people yet again being excluded.

Anyone got a trick to have reduction on tube in London for classic adults with a railway card?

I know it's possible below 30 and after 60, I'm wondering in between
    mavip's avatar
Could you buy an add on travelcard to your norml train ticket using your railcard. So you get a 3rd off.
  18. John_McNeely's avatar
Does this offer apply to all train companies across the UK?
    stethorn's avatar
Just not in London where oyster card is.
  19. sydney871's avatar
Just bought one yesterday from trip.com. Oops. Anyway I can cancel and reapply. (edited)
  20. SIMON_BROWN7nA's avatar
Downloaded the app but i"ve got the American version ,hotels trains all outside Europe but there only appears to be one Trip app ? Maybe i can buy it on my PC then sign in some how to get it on my phone ...
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
Might just be a setting in the app to change your language/location/country?
  21. i_have_toes's avatar
What an awful app. So many pop ups with 'deals' and it sends you round in circles. Good deal for the Railcards... but I'm still trying to work out how to use the Railcard via the trainline.com app or any other site at all?
    JJMPSP's avatar
Just show it to a ticket inspector when requested?
  22. katw's avatar
How does the family work can husband and wife both have the app with the card on
    frieqs's avatar
Technically definitely not and practically the railcard has a photo embedded so the inspector would know.

That said, as I’ve mentioned elsewhere on this thread, in my experience on Southeastern they don’t check the card so you could gamble and probably getaway with it. Personally I’d rather pay the £19 through this offer for peace of mind.
  23. muffboy's avatar
I have converted Tesco clubcard vouchers ready to purchase a railcard, I assume I cannot use these with this offer?
    barnesy99's avatar
No, these can only be redeemed on the official Railcard website.

  25. graeme.spanner's avatar
No good always on strike when I want to use!!!!
  26. Bioeye2's avatar
Their Railcard can only be viewed in the Trip app, and it looks slightly different to my previous year's card in the official Railcard app. How do we know it's legit until we get asked from a ticket inspector?
    CynicalNurse's avatar
Because you would be frankly mad to issue counterfeit rail cards because the penalties are much stricter than other forms of fraud. Hence why you see people in the courts getting large fines just for not buying one ticket.
  27. tattybonce's avatar

  32. cupra.john's avatar
The app sucks, you can import your rail card via a screen shot to Google or Samsung wallet.
  33. pickme's avatar
Is this "strictly" for new customers. I had one two years ago .
PS.always used screenshot. Only ever got asked once to open app.
  34. Geoggy's avatar
Is there anyway to buy a railcard with a delayed start date? No train travel planned until late April
  35. leon_tinsley's avatar
Perfect! Was about to book my train from NW to London so the money I’ve saved it’s paid for this already🙌🏻
  36. gibsie's avatar
What an absolute disaster of a website. I especially love the six pictures that describe how to download the app and buy the railcard, rather than just letting me buy the railcard on the website. Jeez.
  37. xcloose's avatar
So you buy the card and then what? How do you purchase the railcard after
  38. silveroracle's avatar
    Quick question.
What age is considered senior to qualify for the Senior Railcard?
