About Boost

4308133-1pyuW.jpgWhat do I get with NOW Boost?
  • Ad-free streaming: Cinema, Entertainment and Sports Members can watch on-demand shows, movies and sport without ads.
  • Full HD: Watch all the Sky Sports channels, plus selected shows, movies and Bonus Streams, in 1080p video quality instead of the usual 720p.
  • Awesome audio: Got a surround sound speaker system or soundbar? Boost lets you enjoy a fully immersive audio experience with Dolby Digital 5.1. (Excludes Bonus Streams)
  • Smoother sporting action: All the Sky Sports channels stream at 50 frames per second (except on Xbox One & Series X/S and LG TV).
  • Extra streaming allowance: Another handy benefit is that you get to stream on 3 devices at the same time. Perfect for families that can’t agree on what to watch! (Members without Boost can only watch on 1 device at a time).

Keep in mind - You’ll need a minimum internet speed of 12Mbps to stream in 1080p.

If you upgrade to Boost, you won't see ads when you watch on-demand shows, movies and sport. You'll still see promotional trailers for shows, movies and events you can access, as well as ads that appear on live channels.

I've got this offer. Not had a subscription for ages with nowtv. Will give it a go for the 3 months. The boost is only free for one month though so watch out. It'll be extra £6. From month 2 unless you cancel boost
    EndemicAlarm's avatar
Oops, forgot to cancel Boost immediately thanks. Nice that you can't manage your membership on the app, they love their extra steps to cancelling.
  2. Hamboning's avatar
As long as they keep this stupid "boost" game going, they won't see a penny from me.
    tallman43's avatar
Totally agree Reduce the picture quality on purpose to 720p then charge extra to boost.
  3. ccw71's avatar
I'd only go for this at £1 as they usually have so few films worth watching. I didn't get the offer though :/
  4. Chrispy108's avatar
Charging extra for "Boost" in 2024 is an absolute scam.

Their default resolution and bitrate is woeful - anything dark is unwatchable, and their "HD" is still poor compared to their rivals.

How easy is it to cancel as I have this offer?

    Can do it immediately

Link goes to an entertainment offer for £6.99 a month?
    DeanoNI's avatar
Yea not sure why these “deals” are even posted. You’ll be emailed by now tv if you are eligible. Otherwise you can’t avail of the deal.
  7. ck3245's avatar
For as long as I can remember £4.99 p/m and minimum 6 months. No chance I’m signing up to that.
    HonourableGentleman's avatar
For Movies? Never paid more than £3.99 and no minimum terms...Disney wanted minimum 6 months which is why I passed.
  8. Daaker33's avatar
    Sky Cinema is overrated

could I be cheeky to ask for the code please?

I got emailed this. Nice to see an offer from Now that isn't 6 months minimum. Hoping they may see sense on the entertainment offers. Don't want to be stuck with 6 months when there's so little new to watch.
    MogwaiSpy's avatar
Every Now offer I've seen is a maximum number of months and never seen minimum. This one for example is cancel anytime but the £1/month will only last 3 months before it returns to the non discount price
  11. costco55's avatar
not many good movies are on offer. No point in having continuous membership
  12. HigginsSamuel's avatar
I just got offered it and bought it. Canceled the boost offer straight away, so have the free 1 month and it will automatically end.

Best way to do it, not worth keeping it going imo.
  13. jopilar's avatar
Everytime this is £1 I sign up....and then only watch one movie in the whole three months!

Everyone getting in on streaming has completely neutered NowTV from my perspective. While this used to have everything, there's so much stuff exclusive to other platforms now e.g. Paramount, Disney etc.
    777jrg_'s avatar
I used to pay for the £1 offers then wouldn't even watch a film. Now I just unscribe from everything NowTV related. It's also ridiculous that you have to pay boost to get 1080p. Id understand if it were Dolby vision and Dolby Atmos but 1080p? Really??
  14. techobsessed's avatar
Thanks. Just checked my email and got the offer.
  15. Dodoublegg's avatar
Now TV is the best way to get access to Sky.
I pay £17.99 for sports, £3.99 for movies, £3.99 for entertainment (includes kids), £5 for boost. So £33 for full sky. Only thing missing is recording. But that’s what catch up is for these days
    fez324's avatar
Best I can find on sports is £21.99.. Was that an offer?
  16. chris88's avatar
Don't forget to cancel the boost as it's separate.
  17. happywanderer's avatar
I watch a lot of content on my phone or laptop, 720p is awful. It's 2024! So that will always be a deal breaker. Even at £1 this isn't worth it for me

I’ve got the £4.99 deal for 6 months, so if someone has the £1 offer and don’t need it please DM me, Barbie is on soon so will keep the missis happy.
  31. JBAUERBEATSJBOND's avatar
£4.99 for entertainment here, might sign up for True Detective series 4
    CyberdyneSystems's avatar
Don't bother watching it, really bad. It wasn't True Detective at all. The creator wasn't involved. The writing and storytelling was terrible
  32. BenjaminDover99's avatar
Our £2.99/mnth deal runs out end of April, so the wife'll get to watch Barbie and that'll be that.

Didn't find much to watch - too much box set content available to us to want to go back and watch old films & any new stuff has been dribbling on so slowly.

The latest Fast & Furious and Mission Impossible films not ending is really annoying. Can't be bothered with that if that's the way things are going - I'd rather watch a decent series.
  33. btm's avatar
I have an unwanted code, I will send via PM if anyone still needs one.
    craigbelperbrown's avatar
I do if you still have it
