I would STRONGLY advise against buying this 250GB Pixel 7. I have had to return two phones that had exactly the same fault with the audio. After about 10 mins on a phone call, it heats up and the audio becomes distorted. It is a common fault where if you do your research you will be able verify. I am not saying I would never buy another Pixel, I just wouldn't buy this model. Just trying to be helpful.

My family and I used Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 5, Pixel 6a, Pixel 6, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 pro. Never had any issues so far. In fact I'm currently using 7 256gb version.

I had both this and the 7 Pro to see which to keep and kept the Pro as it didn't feel too big a difference in terms of size, say like for example going from a S23 regular to the S23 Ultra.

Plus the extra telephoto lens, ram, batteries and screen spec made me keep the 7 Pro. I came off the back of the 6 Pro which felt not 100% right with Google going in with the new Tensor chipset.

With the 7 and 7 Pro things felt way better. People will say they had fingerprint reader issues, which was the most common thing people complained about, I had no issues with both the 7, 7 Pro, 8 and 8 Pro.

Gave the 7 Pro to the missus and she hasn't complained about the phone and I now am using the 8 Pro without any issues. (edited)

Good price for a very good phone. Pretty good all-rounder to cover most people's requirements with an excellent camera. Currently using this 256gb model in white and I'm very happy with it. Good size screen without it being too big & heavy imo. I might actually keep this phone for a while!
Also 3% back on Topcashback for new customer tech purchases from Argos which should mean another tenner off (or 1.5% / £5 off for existing customers). (edited)

Makes it look expensive being priced so close to the 8 lol

I got a price match from the Google Store, as i could get £90 for an old Iphone SE 32gb I had via trade in, which makes this £260, and I can still sell my old Android phone for another £60 or so.

Don't think I can go near a pixel until they either change or ditch the under screen fingerprint reader. Really is truly dire

I tried a 7 and had to return it straight away because of that. Feel stuck with my 5 unless I go iPhone for their face unlock 🫠

Lol why would u buy this when for £6 extra after cashback/canceling sim you can get pixel 8 from voxi deal...

Sure a bit less storage but still...makes no sense.

It's still in stock now. (edited)

Although this is a good price for a pixel 7, you can get the pixel 8 for not far off this price

Same price on o2 refresh like new. So this is good for brand new
  12. maggideals's avatar
Google store will price match .will go fo it if amy good trade in value
    Gudzy's avatar
Where do you setup a price match? They have an offer on a £99 pixel watch at the same time, will have do that offer with a price matched phone do you know?
  13. razo's avatar
It's a good price if you really must have brand new, but they are £150 less on O2 refresh "like new" (which are in fact new). Or if you can't be bothered with O2 refresh (though it's minimal hassle once you know how), you can get them in perfect condition on eBay for £100 less.
    DopeyDunker's avatar
Do o2 have the 256gb model for £150 less?
  14. margamboy's avatar
It's getting more tricky when for £100 more you get the newer 8 or over £100 less you get the newer 7A albeit a different spec.

Then you get to a point where buying a pricer phone outright and going SIM only looks expensive compared to contract with trade in , and freebies.

Managed to snag the 8 from a deal on here for £385 and really impressed. Was worried about battery life of the 7 so held fire getting that. Really pleased with the Pixel 8, camera is excellent, screens great and battery life holds up well.

Excellent price I reckon, I'm tempted. As for the Pixel 8 comparison, this is the 256 storage option (which I'd definitely need) and the 8 is a smaller phone/screen which wouldn't work for me.

how do these phones compare to i-phones ive got a i phone 11 but looking at a google 8 ,any help please

Depends... if you've always been an iPhone user / longtime user & like the experience then probably stick with an iPhone. Android phones can take some time getting used to & you'll either like it or hate it. The latter can be glitchier as well.
