Delivered on the 13th of April
Trade in kit delivered on the 16th of April, sent back the same day (samsung S8 with cracked screen for 130 GBP, today approved for all 130
Google credit (Google one user) 17 GBP.

I need a new phone
Is it worth spending extra to get the pixel.8.pro rather than the pixel 8? I have a Samsung A71 so either will be a big upgrade for me!
I would get the 8 pro, I have the 8 the only things I like better than my old Xiaomi X3 NFC is the small size and better camera. Everything else is worse , speakers rubbish, screen colours better more natural but it's just not as good, battery is 1/4 as long. No SIM card. No headphones jack, slower charging, gets extremely warm hot, edges of the screen have a pink effect. Tried to get a replacement and all Voxi would do is send me a refund, went to Google and all they'd do is repair it, it was in 30 days I don't want a phone repaired or refund Od like a brand new one. I'll keep it until a good trade in offer comes up with another good camera phone (edited)

The advisor said that the discount emails are being sent by the system and "if you haven't received it yet that means the system may not yet have sent it to you as you mentioned that you just heard about it a couple of days ago."
- Thanks Op for pointing this out might have missed the email otherwise. Decided to pull the plug on the 256gb pixel 8 pro that with trade in worked out at £600 plus 10% google play credit back on the purchase value (£79) so effectively £520!
- Just bought the 8 pro using student beans -15% plus had a n old iPhone that apparently is worth 300 also got 85 GBP of store credit for a nest audio from Google one subscription which. Is free now for 2 month so all in all good deal.

It’s a shame the new mint colour is only 128GB. Interestingly everything from a Note 9 seems to offer £223 trade in on Samsung which makes it tempting. Not sure if I trust Google to honour it though as via a 3rd party. Samsung trade in and Apple trade in have always been great for me. Also as a fan of Nexus and Pixel the way Google have treated the 7 series and Fold and even the base 8 has left a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t regret getting my Fold because it will be the last for its form factor by all account even if it’s not getting basic features like best take that are clearly server based. (edited)- Not sure how to get this (Basic Google One). No email received. Could be tempted to upgrade from pixel 7 with the estimated £306 trade-in.
Might also stack with the 10% back in store credit with upgrade.
