Never quite understood the vast difference in pricing between the Lego Technic cars when the piece counts aren't that different. How come LEGO 42154 Technic 2022 Ford GT Car for instance is almost half the price with about 90% the piece count? Is it licensing fees (F1)?

Not all pieces are equal. The liebherr excavator has 1000 more pieces than the liebherr crane, but the crane is close to two kilo heavier than the excavator. The excavator is mostly pegs whereas the crane has bulky unique parts. That’s the example I have off the top of my head, not sure on the gt but think the gt is smaller scale than the f1?

Just need to get the part number for the wheels/tyres and put them on the f1 maclaren!

I did that and the Maclaren looks a whole lot better. The parts weren't available on the Lego website so I emailed Lego Customer Service - They sent the parts FOC yet invoice shows +£40.
