I would never touch a Philips TV after the abysmal service and issues we have had, and also many others on reddit with the same issue.

Screen was fine for awhile then we started getting a weird shadow like a backlight led had failed, only thing it wasn't in 1 spot, it was all around the edge, top, bottom left & right.
This slowly spread over the course of a week until it was almost in the middle.

Contacted Philips who told me it was 'environmental' and dust had got in between the screen! DUST!
Now how dust gets in between 2 layers of flat glass, on the bottom and works is way up is beyond me... oh wait, its just the screen de-laminating itself form the rear but Philips didn't want to admit its a fault as their end and wanted to charge for £250 to 'clean' the screen.
Told them I would take it up with consumer rights and suddenly they sent a guy round to collect the screen and sent out a replacement.

Philips have now confirmed my TV has an unknown software fault and their is no fix, warranty states they fix or replace. They have now redirected me back to the retailer. Warranty isn't worth paper it's written on. Fuming with them. It's over 12 months old but under 2 years (fault developed 13 months). Why should the retailer suffer. Philips now ownd by tpv-tech so I no longer trust them my replacement will be different tv brand altogether.

This range uses VA and IPS panels. The panel on this size is a VA panel.

I bought one on the previous sale for a befroom set. Even though it's a VA panel, I'm really happy with the picture quality considering my main tv is OLED and I didn't think the Ambilight LEDs would make much difference but they actually do enhance things.

Considering one. What's wrong with VA? And what is superior to it but not Oled

Any good for Xbox series x?

I have an Xbox One X hooked up to mine so 4k is only at 60hz, seems to be fine without noticeable smearing.

OOS! This was probably mine . I purchased 2, a 50-inch, and a 43-inch, with the view to return one. I kept the 50 inch, which was £400. Seems like a decent TV for gamers. Ambilight is nice, too. However, if you take the gaming specs out of the equation, you can get different brands QLED or mini LED the same size or bigger for a cheaper price. I've got mine because I like Ambilight. Saying this, for my main TV, I use Govee immersion kit, which was only £40. (edited)
