Question :/ , I currently have sky Q box as I tend to record loads and watch programmes when it suits or avoid adverts. Can you still record programmes with sky stream or is it as name suggests, you can only watch it at the time it's on ?

    Stick with Q. Honestly.

If you're on sky Q already then don't 'upgrade', apart from not being able to record programmes, you can't pause a program for that long either and then live TV isn't live, the programs are a few minutes behind, so if you're watching live sport etc then be prepared to have some things spoilt before they've happened!

The interface etc is fine, but stick with sky q if you can (edited)

there's something going on when they all decide to up their prices by RPI plus 3-4% and at the same time offer less for more money. Been with them for 7 years and I'm due for renewal but at £58 for a basic phone. Internet and tv package with no HD they can stick it
    What are you folks paying?

Sky Q with entertainment plus Netflix plus full sports, plus HD, plus multi room £47 per month

Been with Sky 9 years now, this was a negotiation with Sky in the last 30 days of my contract . I had to play the game -as always - of giving them notice of termination. Their first special offer to stay with them was over £70!

FYI, I literally just got 500 meg full fibre, stream, TV and Netflix with no upfront fees for £44 per month. New customer (edited)

Same Q from me, if you are unable to record at least 4 programs at once, in HD, then this is a non-starter...

Just seen on Mr Google, NO you can't record with Sky Stream. (edited)

Sky Stream + ad skipping tends to work very well. As the main English channels just upload most things to their streaming apps nowadays anyways. And ad skipping will let you skip ads on streaming apps like itvx

no HD included with this, sky stream has no recording function. 100mb BB cheaper with VM unbelievably. and netflix standard with ads

I’ve literally just renewed my Sky Q today.

Just TV, 2TB box and mini. Sky Signature, Sports, Cinema, Kids, HD & Ultra HD. £78.50 per month up from £61. Couldn’t be bothered cancelling and waiting for a better offer, but Sky Q is great and works perfect recording up to 6 channels at a time.

Sky is getting very expensive though, particularly Q.

You must of been drunk agreeing to that price!

Is this the way forward and why they are trying to flog the Sky Q boxes to everyone. I know they are currently free to upgrade at the moment but i also guess as part of the terms and conditions they can up the price after 12 month as they did with me on the tv and sport package. Its a game with Sky every 18 months having to fight for the best deals.

Ive not heard of sky trying to sell the QBoxes ?
I thought you had to return them

Great deal, voted hot. It's a shame there aren't deals like this with Sky Q though which I believe is much better

Full fibre 100 is 100 mbs you are not going to be streaming anything
    s10's avatar
    ? 100mbps is a decent speed.
You could have multiple concurrent 4k streams at 100mbps
