I have this. I think I paid £38 from very.co.uk. It comes with 3 year warranty (as long as you register the purchase with Daewoo) Can't really fault it, my electricity bill dropped by £5 a month when I used this instead of main oven so it paid for itself after some months really. My tip, turn the lid upside down, so the bulky bit is inside the glass bowl and it fits no problem into main oven when not in use.

No "heat-up" time, so yes, it would save on electricity

I also use my Halogen as a toaster, works a treat.
5 year warranty? WOW, it EVEN looks like it comes with the EXTENDER ring, that gives you extra height, but best check that out, just 2B sure.

These are the same old halogen ovens that have been around for decades. They've never been any good, they've just rebranded them as airfryers.

They've never been any good you say
I've used this exact same Halogen for years now, and find it perfect for my needs, each to their own I guess.

Only recently have also started to use it as a toaster (of large burger baps and/or batons in roughly 5 minutes) and it's ideal for part baked batons, giving me beautifully hot bread (sticks) in 10-12 minutes for example FROM COLD as no need to pre-heat, as was always the need in a standard oven

My actual oven? is (and has been fer years now) just storage.
The only thing I'd change (when the time comes) would be to get the HINGED LID version, but I'm "cool" with the lid stand...fer now.

Bottom line, THIS offering is an ABsolute BARgain...IMHO

"Ideal for cooking for 8-10 people". Is that a chicken in the oven or an emu or are the people Lilliputians?

Good deal, but a ridiculous claim.

Yes, ideal for 1 or 2 adults, but a family would have to eat in sittings!!
Def a bargain though, so if you had lots of bench space? could buy 2?

Had mine for years. Love it. Got an air fryer few months ago, hate it.

    We have both.
Have barely used this since we got the Daewoo 12L mini-oven style one a couple of years ago.

Having ONLY NOW gone over the pictures, I can see this is the EXACT same Daewoo Halogen I was given by the SUPPLIERS when I had issues...with the first 2

    Issue 1
The CRADLE snapped, as it was removed from the box FOR THE FIRST TIME.
Replaced by Robert Dyas (without issue or receipt) as it was a Christmas gift, and still in its plastic packaging.

    Issue 2
The TIMER switch snapped off in a relatively short time (obviously a plastics issue) but this time R D couldn't help without the receipt, but suggested the supplier.

The supplier wanted to check it out, so paid for its return to them, and days later sent out FOC, THIS EXACT OFFERING complete (I noticed) with a redesigned (one piece, no joints) cradle, and this must be a good 6+ years ago

Used every other day THIS is what I call a hot deal.

Well today Friday I have just been into Farmfoods and they don't have it. When I asked the staff, they have never heard of it.
When is it supposed to be instore?
    mmachine's avatar
had stock in my local ascot drive store derby, they had none on display i but asked a member of staff and he got one from the strore room,it was in a brown box that he had to open to make sure its was an halogen oven,so best to ask staff in your local if you do not see any on display
