    Substantially outperformed by a £250 i5 13600K(F).

I just tried to upgrade my AM4 build but can't get it to boot with the 13600K.....

Plus on heavily multithreaded apps like Blender (which is the main purpose of this chip otherwise you'd be looking at a 3D cache version) this can be a fair bit faster than the 13600K whilst using substantially less power (2/3rds the power usage).

This is a great buy for anyone on AM4 already wanting some serious MT performance. (edited)

If you don't do any workstation jobs, is there any reason or will there beany reason to choose this over 5800x3d/5700x3d? (edited)

    Not really.

The 5800X3D is a decent amount faster in gaming and 8 cores will suit most uses very well.

Video editing and rendering will use the extra cores though. (edited)

I have a 5800x, is there any point upgrading to this or saving my money for a whole new system?
