About this deal

Lowest price I’ve seen on Amazon. Quite a lot cheaper than the 5800X3D with minimal performance difference (~4%) according to Hardware Unboxed.

This is the smart part to upgrade to if your on Zen 2 or earlier on AM4 wanting a boost. These chips are what made AM4 such a GOAT platform.

Does this come with heatsink and fan? If not what is a cheap recommendation? Thanks.

I managed to get it off ali express for £148 start of April it arrived last week. Great price and cpu. If you don't mind.

Have heard people mention customs charges. I never had any. So what I paid stuck. But some said a extra £40 on top. Still cheaper but again your choice.

Man, I’m so tempted to get this and upgrade from my 3700x but I’m planning on doing a full rebuild next year anyway so it seems pointless

Not worth it. Then hold tight if going to am5 use the cash for a new cpu next year or for your GPU

I decided to upgrade from my 3600, can anyone recommend a cooler that isn't going to break the bank? TIA

Edit - I have a CiT flash MicroATX case, sorry (edited)

any by that brand will do, check clearances esp RAM, fans can be tricky to attach but just follow the pictures and take your time. you do need to flex the clips quite far to get them to latch.

It's great if still on AM4, however it's not a great price for the performance provided compared to practically any 7000 Series AM5 CPU.

Also something like the Intel Core i7-12700KF will be much better for general productivity and close in gaming, that's currently available for less than £200 from Amazon.
    PC59's avatar
Yes but 12700KF is dead platform, AM4 still gives you the ability to go up to 5950X if needed

As already pointed out, available for less here: hotukdeals.com/dea…711.

Possibly under £200 if using a fee free card.
