Has anyone had experience with refurbs from DJI?

Yeh I had the 3 a few months ago, tbh it was sealed like new and as far as I can tell was new, sometimes they do a refurbished to boost sales in my humble opinion

Received mine a couple of days ago, as far as I can tell it’s brand new. (Box sealed)
Took out the 2 year care refresh for £33 which works on refurbs too 👌🏼

What about the over-heating thing? I'd be using for cycle touring in Asia - i.e. temps of 30-40c and sometimes stationary when stopping to take pics, etc.

Taking pics is not an issue, its only recording 4k for periods of 20 minutes or more in limited airflow environment where it gets hot and possibly overheats.

I have the action 3 and use it for cycling (not tried in Asia though) and with airflow over it, its never gotten too hot let alone overheated.
According to reviews action 4 is similar.

There's a detailed review on DC Rainmaker's Youtube channel directly comparing the Osmo Action 4 and the GoPro Black. (edited)

Used this camera to shoot theme park stuff, personally think it's good for the money and after a few trial recordings with it you'll know how to use it and learn to work with it!

For example I learnt that frames and stability when walking are worth a bit worse low light performance as POV footage in 25fps is no bueno!

I've recently switched to 4K at 50fps and stopped using D-log. I found that works best for day-to-day but low light is always going to be an issue with action cams. I'm curious, what settings do you use specifically?
