Seems a bit late in the game to be spending this much on a 4080 now.

I’d probably spend the £60 and get a 4080 super

Not everyone likes inno3d cards so the next best is a super being the proart:
£976 proart which has just dropped from a non partner.

or from a partner such as AWD-IT at £1029.99 and claim £25 rate by gear and £75 asus cashback under the asus cashback promo making it £929.99 once paid back.

neverrr buying GPU's from Amazon, seen some right horror stories of people receiving bags of flour instead and Amazon being a a head ache from a customer support point of view.

I got Christmas lights and random things instead of a MacBook once. took months to get it sorted

Just remember to make a continuous video of you receiving the card and opening the box if buying a video card from Amazon, as you'll likely end up with a box full of random stuff and spend 3 months battling it, oh also buy on credit card for section 75 so you can end up getting a refund that way.

    The video won't prove anything

Amazon should refund instantly if you didn't get what you ordered and if they make you jump through hoops do a chargeback/small claims

At this point just wait for the 5080

Strong supporter of HODL strategy but 5080 is probably almost a year wait

Not a good time to buy a gpu.
Don't buy when a series is ending the end of its cycle.
Patience is a virtue. And a virtuous person has a price that is far above rubies

How can you wait if you don't have a GPU?

Looking back at GTX 1080Ti - it was truly a great GPU when seeing current RTX 4080 deals.
    BigP50000's avatar
great gpu? it was by far the best EVER gpu nvidia ever created. no other gpu could ever compete with how superior that card was for that time. period.
  9. Aburel's avatar
    Overpriced
    Christee4's avatar
Always has been, like most GPUs in the last few years, but this is about as good as you can hope for right now (edited)

Love the 4080 seems to manage everything i throw at it for Quest 3 VR gaming.
    devill's avatar
    So does 1080 for £150

Getting closer to the £499 price that this card should be. I'll bite at £399.

Unfortunately, if you want a more recent graphics card you'll have to pay the dollar for it. The market won't change any time soon.

    Lowest price I've ever seen a 4080...
  13. AncientYouth's avatar
i played PC games from before and after the first Voodoo 3dfx cards, i cannot believe the price point of these cards nowadays utter madness..
  14. rrr99gp's avatar
Frankly the last GPU that was actually reasonably priced (for the performance) was the 1080Ti.

Ever since the 2k series, it has gone past silly money into utterly ridiculous (for such tiny performance gains too). Picked up a clean 960 for £30 recently and yes it's not really comparable but when you really boil it down you realise how bat insane the market has gotten.

Sorry OP you might well found the cheapest 4080 GPU deal but even £50 off, the sheer overinflated market price make not a good deal.

No need to be sorry, I agree market has gone wild but I also think there is no going back to old pricing.
Top GPU prices have gone to crazy levels but not everyone has to buy one - there is plenty low-mid range that you can get below 500.
It isn't a crazy hot deal but it is the lowest 4080 so far so for some people with a bigger budget it might be a good choice.

Does X3 mean I get 3 of them for this price yea?

i have a Radeon RX 480 and can still play lots of games that want to

    Next cheapest Novatech £949.
Q4 24 Blackwell... Bite or wait?
    toge's avatar
Id wait unless you have nothing and need 4080 perf

    Wow, INNO3D? I think I'm creaming.

Seriously though, has anyone had any experience with this brand in the long-term?
    evilzippy's avatar
I've got a gtx 1070 from them, it's been perfect for years. And it runs a lot quieter than the cheap brand gtx 570 I had before that.
  19. crack_shot's avatar
I'd wait. 5000 series isnt too far away and i also want to see what AMD are offering next time around

The only AAA game i will 100% buy day 1 is GTA 6 and that's a few years away anyway
  20. all2humanuk's avatar
    This vs a used 3090 24GB? The 3090 is about £200 cheaper.
    Juan_Pedro_Gomez's avatar
You can pick up a used 3090 for around £600. I don’t think either is particularly great value.
  21. stujeffrey's avatar
These GPUs remain overpriced but I've been holding for the next gen since 2019! Finally bit the bullet on a 4080 Super for £50 more than this and its a brilliant product. Easy to moan about pricing but I can finally play MSFS without stutters
