    Is this a big enough jump from a GeForce RTX 2060 6GB that I currently have to warrant a buy? Bit of a novice cos I've played consoles my whole life until recently (edited)

    Depends on the game you play and the resolution etc. 2060 is still a decent card. Check out this review and make up your mind. I'd prolly aim for something a bit higher personally:
