£149 for like new A34, instructions are below
Note, to do this requires a credit check, if you have any upcoming large purchases (Car, mortgage) then I would stay clear

  • Once you click get deal, click on "Pay for your device in full - See Our Plans"
4196127_1.jpg
  • Then click "choose this plan - The £19 1GB Option"
4196127_1.jpg
  • Then proceed through checkout choosing your extras etc. until you get to the final checkout stage, then pay using paypal etc.

  • Once you get the phone delivered with your sim card, don't use it, ring o2 from another phone, and request to cancel the airtime plan, tell them you haven't used the sim, and ask them to refund your first month airtime for non use

  • Alternatively, you can use the STAC / PAC method, whereby you get your new O2 sim, and 'STAC or PAC' to a new number to end your contract, you will then need to ring O2 anyway to claim that airtime back, note some advisors will say you can't, some will say you can, you may need to ring more than once

  • If this is too much of a hassle, DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE You will only put yourself through heartache, I have done this on multiple occasions, and I have always had the first month refunded bar a few pence for a couple days of owning the sim

With the Galaxy A34 5G, your eyes will be glued to the Full HD+ AMOLED display. Its 120 Hz refresh rate and stunning colours will make your movies and games come to life in your hands. And don't worry about trying to find shade, because the screen gets super bright. To help you capture memories in amazing detail, there's a 48 MP triple camera system on the back. Plus, with the massive 5000 mAh battery, you can take on the day without worrying about running out of juice.

Good to know

- The 8-core MediaTek Processor will easily power through any app or game
- With 8 GB of RAM you can multitask in several apps at once without slowdowns
- Sunset doesn't mean the fun has to stop - Nightography lets you take clear pics and videos, even in the dark
- 5G connectivity lets you stream films and shows on-the-go – even when you're on the bus to work
- The 13 MP front camera is perfect for selfies with your friends, and Zoom calls with your family
- Facial recognition and fingerprint scanning keep your personal files safe, secure and for your eyes only
- Splashes or rain showers don't need to worry you – the A34 has an IP67 rating
- 256 GB of internal storage gives you plenty of space for all your important apps, photos and videos

Its good 100 pound less price if they dont charge £19 more for first bill. You are also getting hard search on credit file and O2 reputation of understanding o2 refresh is poor so might face hassle of cancellation.

Samsung Uk selling it for £249.99 which is still good price

£224 if you have perks at work, or £269 for the 256GB with 8GB memory

Anyone moving or moved from a Pixel 4a? Holding onto mine but battery life is very lacking so looking around

Is that the 4G or 5G version? This will be considerably better in every way, except may be in the camera departments gsmarena.com/com…074
Also, considerably larger in size & weight...

Surely they can hold you to the contract if you cancel
    Crossbow's avatar
This will hopefully help to explain how it works...
    - O2 Refresh is split into 2 payment Plans - Airtime (calls-tests-data) & Device (the handset itself)
    - You are free to pay off the Device Plan in full at any time, & under no obligation to continue with the Airtime Plan, terminating it early giving a month's notice without incurring further charge or penalty
    - Once you pay the Device Plan off in full, you own the phone outright
    - So, most they can charge is for a month's Airtime. But, as you've not used it at all (like recommended on these deals), you can argue to have it refunded in full if you do happen to get charged in the future (it can happen if they don't cancel the Airtime & Direct Debit properly)
    - The only way they can hold you in contract or make you pay full termination charges is if they enforce it by not knowing their own rules &/or you giving in without knowing your rights.

We've been doing these Refresh deals successfully for over 10 years, some example links below...

Just off the phone with O2 cancellations.. Sim card has been cancelled but it was a bit of hassle. First department try and give you a better deal, retentions I presume. Then you get transferred to customer services who do the cancellation. Just under 1 hour on the phone. They applied a credit to cover the first month's bill. A form is completed over the phone and the sim is disconnected. (edited)
    Crossbow's avatar
Good of them to apply the 1st month's credit, as that's the one thing that usually goes wrong.

I've tried to cancel keep transferring me the women said if she cancels I have to return phone. I said no, I just want the airtime. Spent hours. Then I tried the stac code method. Failed, had a old ee sim which seems still active but when requesting port number, it kept failing, called ee and got them to do it, but it kept failing then it went through. They said it will happen today. But I'm. Not convinced as usually you get a text to confirm and a few mores texts but I got nothing. Will try with a different sim that I ordered.

Keep calling until you get a CS rep who knows what to do or at least is willing to get help from a manager hotukdeals.com/com…901

We've been doing this O2 Refresh malarkey for over 10 years, but many of them do not know what they are doing or meant to do!

Great value 🔥. A lot of reviews saying this is a better option than the A54 even at the higher rrp. (edited)
    afroylnt's avatar
Why would the a34 be better than the a54?
  14. change2unchange's avatar
Seems like a huge phone. Where do people who want small devices go these days? I've been using a Google Pixel (the first one) for the past year that someone gave me after having had many other bigger phones in the past, it's just so much better at this size. Performance is great still too. Why can't someone make a mid-level/cheaper smaller phone again? Seems the last one was the Xiaomi Mi 9SE which I owned.

A bit of warning. TRied to place a an order today online, hard credit check done by O2, bank details taken, post agreement sent, £149 taken using Paypal (under authorization), order failed to complete at the end. Now trying to get to speak to someone sensible and someone who know and is willing to help from CS and Sales team, but getting passed from pillar to post, or putting on hold and disappearing. PAypal cant refund as only merchant can refund. O2 confirmed cant see any order. What a mess and waste of time, and still no luck and still no idea what is happening with the £149.

Did you get an ms- order number?

Good deal considering the amount of software support this will be getting. Biggest downside is mediocre cameras but they are usable.

Just phoned O2 took less than 5 mins. Contract cancelled and have cancellation email.
Did say I would be charged first month but to phone customer services after payment has came out to ask for refund.
  28. MDL199's avatar
It's a good deal for a good phone but O2's customer service is the worst I've ever encountered. The thought of ever dealing with them again brings me out in a cold sweat
