S23 if you value high quality pics. For everything else this. I have a Fold 4 and I don't think I'll be going back to candy bar.

£100 more than Fold 4 last year. Mine is doing well, but I think the internal screen protector will need replacing soon

Worth checking cash converters and cash generator. I picked up a Fold5 in brand new condition for £700 after haggling down from £750. Love the foldable form factor and don't see me ever going back to a candy bar phone. I actually like the cameras on it, I came from a Pixel 7 Pro and to be honest I generally prefer the Fold. That said, zooming much beyond 3x and very low light shots are generally fairly poor compared to higher spec camera phones.

For those saying the fold hasn't changed much, for me I'd say the fact the phone folds truly flat unlike any of the previous Samsung folds is enough of an improvement on its own. Let alone the SOC upgrades and weight etc.

I am glad you like your Fold5 phone, it is a great phone. I also like my Fold2. However:
    - Samsung Fold5 has one of the most noticeable creases among the competitors. It is better than Fold2 but worse than Google fold, OPPO fold, OnePlus fold, Motorola flip, etc
    - Fold5 is lighter and thinner than Fold2 thanks to 3 years difference among them. Mate X3 is thinner and lighter than Fold5 and the difference in numbers is the same as between Fold2 and Fold5(!!!). In other words Mate X3 is an equivalent of Fold 8(!) And to add insult to injury, Mate X3 while thinner and lighter is also having bigger internal screen than all Samsung Folds(!) And it is not just X3, OnePlus has the same specs while Oppo fold is even lighter than X3 and OnePlus.
    - Fold5 has probably the worst front screen ratio from all foldables.
I think Samsung wasted 2+ years and the market moved away. Let's see what they going to do with Fold6. (edited)

I paid more for my second hand Fold2 back in time and I have been happy with it. I am less happy with the fact that Samsung made no real progress since then. Fold2 was a significant improvement of Fold1. They changed 80% of the whole phone to make it next gen. Unfortunately, Fold 3, 4, 5 are almost identical hardware clones of Fold2 miles away from e.g. Huaway Mate X3.

I ordered a Z Flip 5 and sent it back...awesome form factor but the camera was poor. I'm used to the top of the range Samsungs S21U S22U S23U and the Flip 5 felt like a phone from 4 years ago in terms of spec and camera capabilities- if the greatly Improve the camera of the Flip 6 in August I'd be happy to get one.

I've been back on forward on this for a few weeks now....the like new at £799 are now out of stock Anyone got any experience of "good" condition from Giffgaff?

It's a lottery as everyone experienced with the 4 last year. Some received near new, pristine phones, I received one which I'd take to be at least very good, some received proper dogs. 30 day returns are very efficient and free.

Let the Giffgaff "good" lottery begin...

I have a Motorola Razr Flip phone and I really love it, swore I would always have a flip phone from now on. However the battery life is really crap. How is it on these?

Anyone struggle with the narrow screen ratio?

Does Giffgaff warranty cover the hinge faults or inner display issues?
