Which network does Talkmobile use?
Talkmobile runs on the Vodafone network so you'll get 99.9% population coverage.
Will there be a price rise in 2024?
No, Talkmobile will not be raising prices on monthly plans in 2024. Out of plan charges (e.g roaming, international rates) excluded. Future years subject to CPI+3.9%.
Can I keep my number?
Yes, just enter your details under the 'Switching Network?' section when checking out. Alternatively, you can move your old phone number across later, once your new SIM card arrives.
Will my new SIM card work in any phone?
All UK mobile phone companies are closing their 3G networks to focus on strengthening their newer networks and providing faster, better quality services.
At Talkmobile we are saying goodbye to 3G in 2023. If you currently rely on 3G, we don't want you to lose your connection. Our 4G and 5G networks come with loads of great benefits, from faster internet speeds to improved call quality.

sorted by- It’s owned by Vodafone themselves. Customer support is done by the exact same people. Uses the same signal. But you get the benefit of free EU Roaming and no price increases. I’m personally a fan of them.
- Note: there is no way to purchase more than 5GB for EU roaming.
(I have this sim)I saw this on talkmobile website just now.
A Euro Holiday Booster gives you unlimited calls and texts to the UK and other European destinations with 15GB of data:
1 day Euro Holiday Booster £2.25
8 day Euro Holiday Booster £10
15 day Euro Holiday Booster £15 - I have my own thoughts on this...
People may want to disagree
NVNOs..... the companies that use the network of another provider.
I once had an EE sim and moved to talktalk, it was said they use exactly the same network and so why should I see any difference?
EE ( at the time) used three wave bands to acheive good reception, talk talk only 2. The difference without the 800hz waveband inside the house was massive , leaving the phone useless indoors.
In short, your not always comparing apples with apples. Likewise my partner now has a lebara sim and it works fine indoors and out, with 5g and WiFi calling.
Do your own checks first before committing to a long contract thar you may struggle to get out of.
Luckily in this instance it's a one month contract only.TalkTalk Mobile used Vodafone. Never in their history have they used EE. And this deal you’re commenting on is TalkMobile rather than TalkTalk - And this company is actually 100% owned by Vodafone itself too with the full network and band access - Using the exact same signal as your Lebara SIM.
EE Is the only network who locks bands for some of their MVNOs who sign cheaper agreements. EE Partner networks can piggyback on their signal and get full access however. So it pays to shop around if looking for an EE based solution. - EU roaming on VODAFONE network ??? WTFLebara gives you up to 30GB and also uses Vodafone.
- My kids have the £11.98 pm rolling monthly package with these. 100gb a month and no complaints. The deal improved a while back to 120GB for £11.95. If you jump on live chat or call them up and let them know about the current USwitch deal they’re typically pretty good at matching the deals so you can get more for your money.
Alternatively if your kids don’t use this much data they also have 80GB for £9.95 to drop it slightly and save a bit of money. - Heat! Just ordered the £16 unlimited deal. Have to leave o2, data performance been poor. I am aware roaming is 5gb but cheaper price plan means I can purchase extra EU usage with talkm when required and still be saving £did you get your £60 Cash back via topcashback ?
- Good deal. Paying £9.95 for 70GB rolling contract. I am considering switching to this and then cancelling after 3 months. It's a bit of a hassel but I don't use anywhere near 70GB.
- Do Talkmobile do credit checks on monthly rolling SIM only agreement?Just an identity check. So you’ll see a soft search for ID purposes
- Can you use Vodafone Veryme app, if you are on TalkTalk?
thankssorry, i meant *talkmobile - I always get better signal with talk mobile on my pixel 7 pro than my wife gets on her iPhone 14 with Vodafone!
- How long before it needs to be activated? It’s activated the day after dispatch ready for use straight away on delivery day.
This is a proper contract SIM. Not the prepaid monthly bundles like Lebara and such. You can’t defer activation.
