Be careful, since 1pm the eBay listing now says:

    “Non-Backlit keyboard version." (edited)

Edit - The code below is no longer valid as of today

Seems like you can also add an additional voucher to get it down by 10% more

Yes, I used a similar additional code last night on a Lenovo i7/16GB from this seller.

Also changing the keyboard on these is a pain as unlike the older Dell's there is no bezel to remove so everything has to be removed from the casing to get at the keyboard, what used to be a 10 mins job to swap the keyboard now takes a lot longer (edited)

Can this run two monitors please

It should. I think this Gpu can run even 3 different screen additionally its own screen . You may need to buy additional Hdmi split cable if type c is not supports display connection. Note: not advice from pc expert. (edited)

I've lost track - does this model have an Ethernet hardware port but just needs a special cable to access it? Or am I thinking of some other laptop?
EditL Some other laptop apparently. This one would need a thunderbolt docking station, eg WD19S-130W (edited)

You're thinking of the Lenovo ThinkPads of this era which had a special proprietary Ethernet port. Use a USB A or C Ethernet adapter or dock. The previous model 7390 and 7490 had onboard Ethernet and the thicker, plastic, lower-class Latitude 5300/5400 series retained the Ethernet port (and still have them today on the current 5440 models).

Bought one a few weeks ago from this seller for slightly more than this. I'm really pleased with it. Fast delivery, well packaged and excellent condition. Connects to my dell dock via usb-c. Looks like it takes a sim too, but not gone there yet. Mine is back lit, which is useful.

Is it fast at loading applications?

bought this as a school laptop -for my 14 year old i know it's going to be tough, but at £170 if it get's broken i know it's either going to be easily repairable (as it's a latitude) or not soo expensive to cause a problem if its not economical to repair. (edited)

In honesty I don't really know, the 8GB ram is a bit of worry, but not sure if it's a deal breaker.... I'm thinking of going for the Dell one, but not sure. Will the dell one be sufficient for lite gaming and video editing?

What’s the battery life like on these?
    yimpster's avatar
NEW batteries would get about 4 hours i'd guess depending on what you are doing on it.

Would this be good for gaming

I had this exact model as my work laptop several years ago. I 'forgot' to return it when they gave me a new one, and I gave it to my kids who used it for ages. They got a new one, and I gave it to my brother-in-law to use for browsing and streaming. Apparently, it's still working now except for the screen, but he's got it hooked up to an external monitor. Great bit of kit.

    Could it run games easily?

    Would this run photoshop well?
