Selling this stuff without the battery is a scam

No it isn't. It allows you to pay for a machine without paying extra for a battery that you already have. You 'could' buy this, a battery and charger but you would probably moan that it all doesn't cost £99.99.

I shop at Lidl regularly but seriously everytime I buy any electronic item, they don't last over a year.
Had atleast 5/6 faulty items just threw a rotary mini oven bought last year.
    Hand mixers, toasters, etc

I got the previous one that takes 2 batteries and I think it’s great, cuts well, I’ve got a fair size bit of grass and a verge and it does it all easily on a charge only usually goes to amber on the battery gauge, it can stall on long wet grass but it’s light and easy to use, I had all the batteries and charger got quite a few 20v tools

I've got the og 2 battery version and I love it but as others have said wet longer grass can make it stall, my way around this is to raise the cutting bar and do 2 passes on the lawn, takes no time at all to do front and back as no messing around with plugs takes all the hassle out of mowing the lawn.

I thought it was common knowledge that you shouldn't try and cut wet grass with 'any' lawn mower?

Hi, did anyone buy this? I purchased one but the handles bars don’t align. So I returned and got another one and it’s the same. Wandering if I’m doing something wrong, and if anyone else has experienced the same issue. (edited)

I took the first one back but the second one was the same Same with the handles but once together I found the mechanism to power the lawnmower was too long to had to detach the red bar for it to start working.

poorly designed product in my opinion so going to look at a different brand. Maybe the Titan one from screwfix

Just picked one up, charging my batteries so will post a review later on.
Not much to mow tho as the grass has hardly grown last week or two

Feels like it’s been ages since this last came around! Can anyone comment on the quality/performance of it?

I’m sure I remember the last one needing two batteries, does that mean this one isn’t as powerful?

Would also like more reviews . I've been waiting 2 years to get one myself as have all the batteries etc with other tools .
    I also rem the 40v 2 battery one :/

I've got this model and had it for a couple of years. It'll only work with the 40v battery but will cut my little bit of lawn with ease. I like it as it's light, easy to manoeuvre and is quiet. It has a metal blade too. Don't expect it to cut new season growth as a first cut of the year unless you've been
Mowing over the winter!! Spring/summer cutting with dry grass is a doddle .

There's no such thing as 20v battery considering they're made off 3.6v cells. (li-ion)

I assume it's 18v like every other garden thing that claims to be 20, 21 24v et.

They're 4v cells. 3.6 is nominal voltage, not maximum, so 18v and 20v are the same. It's just marketing and neither is correct or incorrect (edited)

What’s the true review on this, really tempted, I don’t have to much grass and am in the market for one at the moment

Picked one up this morning, its just ok to be honest.
Battery lasts easily long enough to do my little patch.
It is not very powerful, and stalls quite easily.
The twin 40v version is probably quite a bit better.
Looke like i will need to keep hold of the corded mower. (edited)

I went to get one this morning. They only had the 20v version battery and not the 40v one which they said they hadn’t received. Has anyone else had this?

Had a quick look at the lawmower in my store but I couldn't see where any of the batteries and chargers for lawmower was on the shelves (possibly had some other lower powered batteries for other electrical garden tools). If they are going to sell the batteries & charger seperately they need to have a decent stock of batteries & chargers and make sure they are placed on the shelves next to the mower (edited)

I was thinking of buying this as our black and decker cordless mower batteries are not great anymore & it's a little broken too. I was put off as it's only 20v, whereas our B&D is 38v & just about manages with longer lawn. Also the couple of reviews of this I found said it's not great compared with the 40v mower they have done in the past.

Can anyone confirm if Aldi batteries for power tools fits Lidls version?
Bought into Aldis ecosystem but also after a battery powered mower

Don’t bother with the 20v. Get the double battery 40v. 20v struggled with longer gras and you had to go very slow to stop it cutting out
