I find these a bit too salty sometimes. I much prefer the 20 hot wings or the 9 piece £5.99 Tuesday offer. (edited)

Tbh depends on the cook at the time. If they don't mix the batch of flour right or dont refresh the flour often enough then it can become saltier than expected. Just before lunch and dinner rush is the best time as they are starting to cook up ready for rush so should give you the best quality ones but it's no guarantee. (edited)

Oh weird maybe an error. My image is from an internal email telling us the details for the next promotion. That might be the same image they used for last year's mini promo and they used the wrong one

bland as hell and 70% of the time dry. Only thing you taste is salt.

Heat added. I favour the on the bone chicken, but for this price I'll switch.

as you're the expert maybe you could answer a query I have. I always prefer that piece of chicken that just has that tiny piece of cartelidge in. I never know what that piece is it's called. Could you help?

I'd love a bucket of mostly that.

Breast piece but per 72 pc cook they only get 4-8 so there's not many in a cook. Always ask tho and usually if they have it then will give it

Has anyone noticed that 10% Blue Light doesn't apply to these?
    nydare's avatar
    nydare Author
Yeah they stopped blue light working with that of these types of offers (wing bucket /popcorn bucket/ 9pc chicken on bone and 10 minis ) got stopped last year

I mean it's used as an ingredient for many foods. I wouldn't eat it on its own but can be used as a coating then cooked

Their worst menu item - too salty and to some extent, bland

Tbh if I get these like this I usually grab a pack of wraps and some lettuce etc and make them into chicken wraps but that was back when I worked there and got free food 😁

I'd be all over it if they were Zinger style ones, not a big fan of original receipe stuff, just tastes like salt.

Added bonus is you get to play the KFC mini-fillets lottery. Will your mini fillet have less meat than a hotwing? Will it be dry and sad or hot and juicy.

I haven't had KFC in months now. Even their offers aren't enough to tempt me. They've continually put prices up and reduced quality and portions. When you put up prices 20% and give me 3 pathetic excuses for mini-fillets I will eventually give up. Which I have.
    nydare's avatar
    nydare Author
Agree some batches we get the mini fillets where very small at the branch I used to work at we used to give extra minis to make try give sane amount of food but we didn't have to. Some batches on the other hand are huge and 2 would be same amount as 3 standard ones.

good to throw on top of a bargain bucket to sort the kids out (seems like its quite rare to find kids who eat off the bone nowadays)

Have you noticed how this deal keeps getting worse, I guess it's still a saving though
    nydare's avatar
    nydare Author
Agreed KFC has had like 6 price rises in the last 2yrs. 4 minis are £6.99 on there own so compared to standard price it's a great deal but only a few years back during COVID it was £4.99 so it has jumped in price.

It's a good deal, i personally prefer the double dinner thing that's also 6.99, thats 3.50 per meal.

Used to be good but I'm sure our local KFC (franchise) just chops up random bits of chicken into mini fillet shapes for these. They're always stringy and tough and surprisingly angular under the breading
    nydare's avatar
    nydare Author
I mean only pieces they could do that with is the fillets and that would cost them a fortune to do that. Some batches from certain parts of the world we used to get where better then others simmialr to supermarkets some times same packet of meat can differ unfortunately. We just get what we are given to cook lol

I had a KFC the other day, first time in years. I didn't enjoy it. The recipe seems to have changed to a cheaper version. The prices have also gone up beyond reasonable.

I have noticed that people comment just to argue. Heat added.
Making your own at home thats similar is no way the same as buying it.
You are paying for someone to make it/ cook it and you’re paying for kfc not a generic sfc.

Oh trust me there's a handful of people last time it was on when I worked there that would be in at least 5-6 times a week and then at weekends would buy multiple even seen someone buy for 2 people 5 buckets of them and sit in and each 3 1/2 buckets worth lol
