Have found these sacks of onions to be of poor quality in the past, sprouting and a bit battered, pick wisely

You'd need a fridge the size of a bus for these, mines is only the under counter one. A great deal though.

Do people keep onions in the fridge? I thought they went in dark cool cupboards along with potatoes so they could quietly go off in privacy

I usually buy a three pack, use two and the one spare is bad by the time I go to use it. Unless you run an Indian restaurant what do you need 5 kilos for?

Or you're a traditional South Asian household and use onions in everything?!

I've always bought the misshapen from Aldi but not seen recently.

Aldi are ignoring Northern Ireland for some inexplicable reason ☹️

Our first bag some time ago was brilliant but the last few times we have been to buy them they have been really poor with lots of soft ones in the bag

Onions imported from India to UK costs less than the onions we produce locally or importing it somewhere from within EU.

These are the budget brand Redmere - produce of United Kingdom, Spain, Egypt, New Zealand, Chile. None from India though

Half of it will be rotten before used.

Morrisons have 4kg for £2.99 a kilo less but onions are large and good quality. You don’t get any rotten onions so no wastage like Farmfoods
