Deal:
A good laptop for the price in the Honor's BF sale. Use the code to get this price.

I think this is a lowest price for a 16 inch laptop screen.

The existing Honor user discount does not seem to be stacking to get a further 10% off but if it did then this would make it an even better deal at £359.99

Last time when it came to this price, it went Oos quickly!

I have this laptop so if you have any questions I can try to answer them.

  • Backlit keyboard
  • Aluminium body, which feels sound (rather than the plastic body)
  • Expandable to 1TB SSD
  • 8GB RAM is non-expandable but is plenty for usual home and work use
  • Fingerprint sensor to unlock

Credit to who had posted a deal on this laptop before and I had bought it then.

Looking for home use for logging into work virtual network as well as basic home use. How does this compare to the ASUS deal at Argos below?

That seems to be a 2021 laptop, with lower specs but obviously a better screen.

From a quick glance I could see that:
It is i3 N processor but this has a i5 12th Gen processor
That has a slightly smaller 15.6"screen but it is obviouisly better due to being OLED. A main point!
    No backlit keyboard in that.
Smaller SSD at 256GB (this has 512GB).
That is a 2021 model and this is a 2023 model.
That is a plastic built I think and this is aluminium alloy.

I got the laptop earlier in the week, and is perfectly fine for the money.

Is 16 inch the new 15 inch? Seems that 16 inch has become common?
    liam_ng_355's avatar
Yes its because manufacturers are making 16:10 displays as opposed to 16:9 these days

Received mine today. Really good for the price. Hdmi 1.4 so get 2k. Fully functional usb c.

I don't play games but even with 8gb ram its fine
Was up and running in under an hour after updates. Does look and feel like a Mac. Does feel really solid. As others have mentioned the aluminium build.

Backlit keyboard isn't the brightest however so many laptops don't have in this price range.

Unable to say much about battery life but it's doing fine so far. (edited)

How are the speakers? I got a magicbook 14 for the wife and the speakers are absolute trash!

Can someone give suggestion with this, which one is better? Thanks

I am assuming you are referring to this deal.

Most of the specifications on that laptop seem similar but this deal has a 12th gen processor, which is a later model, and a larger 16" screen.

Depends on what is important to you like this faster machine, bigger screen or that one which gives better portability, upgradable RAM etc.
I have posted this deal so I would be considered biased (edited)

For home use, 8GB is the optimal solution, when watching Natfilx or browsing the Internet, I use 50-60% of the RAM.This laptop is not for Gamers, so I don't see the point in adding 16GB of RAM for browsing the Internet or other normal activities.:)
  8. Richard_Mathews's avatar
shame about the 8gb non upgradable, but the rest looks good.

Shame that they have stopped code stacking!

Its unfortunate you cant get alot of feedback on this £400 16in alloy laptop ?
Im trying to find fault with it at price and screen size and just cant seem too .
    Bovrilontoast's avatar
I know. I guess the 8gb ram which isn't expandable is the main downside to it, but for 400 quid there's a lot of laptop here for the money
  11. peter2707's avatar
Does anyone have a honor code for an extra 10% off I could use TIA
  12. nickmoss21's avatar
Codes don't stack so minimum price is £399.99
    AstalaVista's avatar

Even though it has been mentioned on their webpage, you are right it seem like the existing Honor User code does not stack. So it is the headline price of £399.99, which is still value for money I think.
  13. TirolForce165's avatar
Why are these not popular !
    Is it the price ?
You cant increase the ram from 8GB so the laptop will be hopeless running win11 in a year or two?
Most want a smaller size lappy which seems true of the overall market ?

Anything good about these at all ?

I had a Sony Vaio laptop with i3 for nearly 10+ years with 4GB RAM & HDD, which I then changed to SSD upgrading windows version to 10 (for nearly 7 years) and there was no freezing as such for home use.

This is 8GB RAM so should be okay to cope with the Window 11 demands, especially for general home and video watching use!

I think this is the lowest price for 16" screen, with good specs and Honor is pricing it to compete to get into the market!
  14. Pricebusters's avatar
why do they solder the ram so can't upgrade. 😔
  15. digitaldecks's avatar
Fully featured USB-C allowing for my 32" monitor does for me. (2560x1440) i hope (edited)

Looks really good, apart from the terrible battery life. If you're going to be near a plug that's ok I suppose.

What do you mean by this, genuinly interested.

To me Honor is a bit of an unknown quantity.

Anyone know what reliability is like, also, Customer Service should anything go wrong? (edited)
